How To Stay Virus Free

In this video I go over tips on how to stay virus free.

There are a lot of questions when it comes to viruses, computer worms and bugs and malware so today I go over explaining what exactly is malicious software on your Windows, Mac and Linux computer. In addition I go over how to stay virus free by avoiding the common ways of getting viruses that include torrents, downloading supposedly free software as well as keeping your operating system, browser and plugins such as Adobe Flash, Java, Microsoft Silverlight and Adobe Reader current and up to date with the latest software updates.

Once you learn not to click on suspicious links and be wary of unknown websites a good addition to help increase your security is to download and install some good anti-virus software such as Microsoft Security Essentials.

If all else fails and you end up with a virus the first thing you should do is stop using your computer if possible. If you aren’t comfortable trying to remove the malware yourself have a friend or professional remove it, otherwise look into the problem and troubleshoot the fix yourself.
