2010 Volkswagen GTI W/ Conv. and Sunroof Walkaround, Review, and Test Drive

Help us grow so we can bring you more videos! Like us on Facebook @ http://www.Facebook.com/2Redline The Chief of Operations has a new car…a continuation of his “German car fanboyism”. Have a look at what the Editor and Chief thinks about it!

“The 2010 Volkswagen GTI is quite possibly the most refined “hot hatch” ever brought to our shores. If you don’t demand maximum performance, put the GTI on your short list. The GTI is like a dignified elder statesman who refuses to do Facebook. It’s extraordinarily suave and well-mannered, and its lifetime accomplishments are second to none among its peers — but it just won’t get on board with the latest trend. In the sport-compact segment, that trend is power. Lots of power. Anywhere from 237 horsepower to 265, if you’re wondering. Yet the new sixth-generation GTI soldiers on with the same 200-hp inline-4 that first arrived in 2006. How can it hope to compete?” (Edmunds.com)

2012 Chevrolet Captiva LTZ AWD In-Depth Review

Senior Editor Christian Rosario takes you on a tour of this 2012 fleet vehicle! Enjoy!

“Good new, Hertz fans, Chevy has finally made a fleet-only crossover! Built at the Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico alongside the Cadillac SRX, the new Captiva bears a striking resemblance to a recently departed small crossover made by a recently departed small-carmaker under The General’s umbrella. The Equinox is built in Canada.” (Edmunds.com)

Behind the Webb: The Golden Touch (Episode 15)

The Webb Telescope’s mirrors are coated in an extremely thin film of gold. This gold layer, only a few millionths of an inch thick, enables the mirrors to best reflect the infrared light the telescope seeks. The thinner the layer, the better off the telescope will be — every bit of weight counts when a telescope as big as Webb is being lifted into space by a rocket. Join us at Quantum Coating in New Jersey, where engineers are vaporizing gold to apply a thin, even layer to the telescope’s mirrors.

“Behind the Webb” is an ongoing series that follows the construction of the Webb Space Telescope, Hubble’s successor. Find more episodes at Hubblesite.org.
