Meet the more “grown up” version of a Civic Si, the 2013 ILX 2.4L 6MT. Don’t be fooled by its more humble roots underneath, paired with this power-train combination, it really helps to give Acura’s new ILX that premium car feel with its impressive combination of performance, ride quality, and technology. Factor in Acura’s strong reputation for reliability and resale value and you have yourself a direct competitor to Volkswagen’s GLI. We think once Acura gives this car the tech package and slightly more distinctive styling, they could have a winner on their hands. Until then, the ILX will continue to appeal to more of a niche buyer.
