Alcohol is extremely flammable, and can continue burning while sticking to hands, as well as other objects. This should not be attempted indoors or near anything flammable. Drinking isopropyl alcohol has an immediate effect on the central nervous system. Isopropyl alcohol slows these functions and may shut them down altogether which can lead to coma. Use of video content is at own risk.

To get this effect, I soaked a few cotton-balls in 70% isopropyl alcohol and lit them with an open flame from a BBQ ignitor.

The flame starts off small, but soon engulfs the entire ball. In low light conditions, a flame up to 6″ can be observed rising from the ball.

Because the flame rises, holding the ball near the bottom helps minimize the heat to the hand, and in some cases, the flaming ball can be held for extended periods of time with minor discomfort.
