الفنانة المعتزلة نسرين واحدة من الفنانات اللاتي امتلكن وجه مميز أطلت به على عالم الفن لفترة قصيرة قدمت خلالها عدد من الأعمال في السينما والمسرح والتليفزيون قبل أن تعتزل تماما هي وزوجها الفنان محسن محيي الدين.
نسرين ولدت في يوم 20 نوفمبر عام 1960 واسمها بالكامل نسرين محمد أحمد عبد السلام حصلت على بكالوريوس معهد الكونسرفتوار وتزوجت من الملحن محمد ضياء الدين الهاشمي الذي غنت معه كطفلة أغنية “البالونة” وكان يكبرها وقت الزواج بعشرين عاما.
الفنانة المعتزلة تزوجت بعد ذلك من الفنان محسن محيى الدين واشتركا معا في كتابة فيلم “شباب على كف عفريت” وكانت قبلها قد قدمت عدد من الأعمال السينمائية منها “الحفيد” “شيلني وأشيلك”.
في المسرح قدمت مسرحيات ” ليلة الزفاف” “مسألة مبدأ” “عالم يهوس” “فندق الثلاث ورقات” “آخر موضة” “هاللو دوللي” و”صانعة الألعاب” أما في التليفزيون فكان لها عدد من الأدوار المميزة في مسلسلات “الشهد والدموع”، “رحلة السيد أبوالعلا البشري” كما قدمت فوازير “جدو عبده” مع الراحل عبدالمنعم مدبولي.
نسرين انضمت إلى قائمة الفنانات اللاتي ارتدين الحجاب بعدما اعتزلت هي وزوجها ولم تظهر بعد ذلك في أي وسيلة إعلامية وبررت اعتزالها بأنها لم تنسجم مع الوسط الفني هي وزوجها.
