النجمة مروة عبد المنعم اسمها بالكامل مروة عبد المنعم عبد الرحمن وهي فنانة شابة متميزة بخفة ظلها، ولدت مروة عبد المنعم في 18 نوفمبر عام 1978 بمحافظة القاهرة وهي ابنة لأسرة متوسطة ، ومنذ أن كانت في سن صغيرة شعرت بتعلقها بالفن والمسرح ولكنها كانت خائفة من أن تكون ردة فعل الجمهور مخيبة لآمالها لذلك التحقت بكلية الحقوق وشاركت في الفريق المسرحي في الجامعة ولكنها حصلت على إعجاب الكثيرين مما دفعها إلى الدخول إلى عالم التمثيل والتحقت بمعهد الفنون المسرحية الذي تخرجت منه عام 2003.
أنجبت الفنانة مروة عبد المنعم ابنها يحيى من المخرج حسام الذي تزوجته بعد دخولها إلى عالم التمثيل على يد مكتشفها الفنان يحيى الفخراني. وكان أول عمل فني قامت به مروة عبد المنعم على شاشة التليفزيون هو دورها في مسلسل أم كلثوم بطولة الفنانة صابرين ثم بعد ذلك قامت بأداء دور كبير ومتميز في مسلسل عباس الأبيض إمام مكتشفها الفنان القدير يحيى الفخراني ثم اشتركت معه بعد ذلك في عدة أعمال تليفزيونية.
وقد اتهمت النجمة المصرية مروة عبد المنعم منذ فترة وجيزة بقتل خادمتها التي تبلغ من العمر 15 عاماً وذلك بعد شهر من وفاتها
إذ توفيت الخادمة حسب التقارير الشرعية اختناقاً أثناء الاستحمام وقامت مروة عبد المنعم وزوجها حسام الشاذلي بتحمل تكاليف عزائها وتحمل النفقات المادية التي يطالب بها والدة الفتاة.
بعد شهر من وفاتها خرج والد الفتاة يتهم مروة عبد المنعم بقتل ابنته مشيراً أنها لم تكن تحبها وأنه يشك في أنها من قتلت ابنته.
أكدت مروة عبد المنعم أنها لا تقوى على قتل أي مخلوق أو كائن حي إلا أنها منذ فترة بدأت بتلقي التهديدات هي وزوجها من والد الخادمة بسبب عدم مساندته في طلباته المادية .
اليوم التحقيقات في القضية من قبل النيابة وصلت بأن يتم إخراج الجثة وتشريحها للتأكد من سبب وفاة الخادمة على أن تكون عملية التشريح في يوم واحد ودفن الجثة في نفس اليوم بوجود والد ووالدة الخادمة.
