Easily one of Hyundai’s best-selling vehicles, the third-generation Hyundai Santa Fe now comes in two sizes: the 3-row Santa Fe and this smaller 2-row Santa Fe Sport. A stylish new design, upscale features, and a spacious cabin make it a worthy choice in the midsize crossover segment. Unfortunately, so-so fuel economy and uninspiring driving dynamics keep it from being the class-leader.
Today’s news either has you very excited or mildly bemused, depending on your relationship with a giant blue-suited superhero who calls himself the Tick. For our part, we’re Excited! Subscribe: http://goo.gl/9AGRm
First a comic book, then a thoroughly self-aware cartoon, then a VERY short-lived live action show on Fox, The Tick is a character for people who love superheroes, and love to laugh at themselves for loving superheroes. And now, it looks as though The Tick is following in the footsteps of its Fox sibling Arrested Development to be resurrected on a digital network.
Creator Ben Edlund, also of Family Guy and Arrested Development (no stranger to his shows coming back!) will return as will the primary cast members.
In this case, Amazon is picking up the baton, and giving the nigh-unkillable Tick a new home.

Are you excited about the return of the Tick? Did you watch the original run on Fox, or in syndication on Comedy Central? Do you have anything you’re specifically looking forward to seeing on the, um, smaller screen? What other prematurely show would you like to see brought back?

Seeing Planets around Other Suns: First Light with the Gemini Planet Imager
Dr. Marshall Perrin
Thousands of exoplanets are now known, but only a handful have been seen directly. Such observations are extraordinarily challenging because a star is millions to billions of times brighter than a planet. After ten years of work, an international team of scientists and engineers has now completed a new and highly specialized instrument to obtain the best images yet of nearby solar systems, the Gemini Planet Imager (GPI). GPI can see planets a factor of ten better than any previous instrument. Over the next few years, it will survey hundreds of nearby stars and return images and spectra of dozens of Jupiter-type planets.
Examination of these worlds with GPI opens the way to new discoveries about the properties of planets and observational tests of theories for the formation of solar systems. Similar technologies on future large space telescopes, successors to Hubble and JWST, will let us seek out and study potentially Earth-like planets around nearby
stars.
Host: Dr. Frank Summers
Recorded live on September 2, 2014 at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, MD, USA

Today on “Generation Gap,” we’re visiting the Lingenfelter Collection. Known for Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, Ken Lingenfelter was kind enough to let us experience some of his personal cars. Being able to check a few cars off our bucket list, we decided to compare GTOs. Davin has picked the aggressive muscle of a 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge, equipped with a 366 HP 400 V-8 High Output engine with Ram Air III. Matt picked a bit of a cheater 2006 Pontiac Custom GTO. The modern GTO is straight from GM Performance with a Twin Turbo LS2 with 750 HP. Which one would you rather drive?
Generation Gap appears every other Tuesday on the Motor Trend youtube channel. http://www.youtube.com/motortrend
