Quinoa Salad with Baked Salmon Recipe – SORTED

Quinoa is a great alternative to couscous or rice and makes a really healthy summer salad. It’s light and packed full of herbs and lemon goes perfectly with fish.

The fish in this recipe is so simple to prepare… and once you’ve eaten it there isn’t any washing up as you simply throw the tin-foil away.

Peking Duck and Waldmeister Shots: Chef’s´s Night Out With Quirin Schwanck

Subscribe to Munchies here: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-MUNCHIES

Parker Bowles is living proof that Kreuzberg is slowly becoming the place to be for top-notch cuisine in Berlin. In this episode, Parker Bowles’ co-owners Oliver Rother and Quirin Schwanck—together with their friends Michel and Flo from the nightclub Prince Charles—take us out to their favorite food hot spots. Our first stop is Good Friends in Charlottenburg , one of the oldest and tastiest Asian restaurants in Berlin, where we dine on crispy Peking duck and fried halibut. After that, it’s back home to Kreuzberg and to Cocolo Ramen, where we were welcomed with sake and Asahi by Chef Yoska, who whipped up Japanese delicacies like tender, braised kakuni, sake-glazed king oyster mushrooms, and, of course, rich noodle soup. Then it’s off to La Raclette, just around the corner, for Waldmeister shots with owner-bartender Steffen. The night ends back at Parker Bowles, where the party is roaring with and a late-night MUNCHIES dinner and the sounds of Dear Us. Now that’s a night out in Berlin.

Project Inspired By:

Wondering what would happen if the vapor was inhaled. This was an original idea.

WARNING: Dry Ice is extremely cold! (-78C/-109F) and can cause instant frost-bite to exposed skin. This project is for demonstrational purposes only and should only be attempted by experienced science demonstrators. Misuse, or careless use of dry ice may result in serious injury. Use of this video content is at your own risk.

Project History & More Info:

This experiment demonstrates the visible effect of differential pressure created when you suck in.

The vapor you see is actually condensed water droplets (cloud) but it’s also mixed with carbon dioxide gas, oxygen and nitrogen.

The vapor is relatively safe to inhale, since carbon dioxide is naturally present in the lungs anyway, but repeated and excessive amount of vapor inhalation will lead to coughing, and short spells of dizziness.

This is a trick I do at parties and get togethers from time to time because it looks so bizarre. I thought might be appropriate to show off for halloween 🙂

This video will be part of a compilation of dry ice experiments that will explain in more detail what is happening here, so watch for that!

Tank Trap Part 1! – Top Truck Challenge 2014

Purchase the official action-packed TTC 2014 DVD at http://www.4wheelparts.com/Apparel-Books-DVDs/Top-Truck-Challenge.aspx?t_c=85&t_s=415&t_pt=100393

Tank Trap Part One
This is the event most Top Truck Challenge competitors anxiously await—or dread. The Tank Trap is a quarter-mile-long course designed to force each competitor to fight for every inch of forward progress. The Tank Trap is a standard feature at the Hollister Hills SVRA, but for TTC, it’s modified to our specs using heavy equipment and water. As in previous years, Tank Trap (located in a deep, natural valley) had an approximate 195-foot climb in elevation from start to finish. Due to water restrictions from the 2014 California drought, we had to cut back on the number of water holes, though we used the same numbering system as in previous years. A few yards into the course, competitors had to navigate the 5-foot-deep Water Hole 2. From there, they entered the infamous 100-yard-long “Canyon” that contained steep rock walls in excess of 7 feet in height, slippery steep rock waterfalls, nasty ledges, and generally inhospitable terrain. If they made it through the Canyon, it was onto Water Hole 3 and then a series of deep, slippery, dry climbs and descents. Provided they were still moving, they came fact-to-face with the deep, off-camber “Crevice” before dropping into Water Hole 6 and Water Hole 7.
