What is a MOBA Game?

MOBA Games are multiplayer online battle arena video games. In spirit, the are all successors to the original Defense of the Ancients (DotA) custom game for Warcraft III. Today, League of Legends (LoL) Dota 2, Heroes of the Storm, Smite, Heroes of Newerth, and a variety of other games exist with active communities today.

They are also known as action real-time strategy games (ARTS) and consist primarily of human-controlled hero or champion units facing off against each other in a 5v5 team. Also included are a plethora of NPC units and various map mechanics to keep gameplay constantly varying.

MOBA games are widely considered the most popular and active eSports engines in modern online multiplayer gaming.

Spider-Man the Avenger Special! – Cinefix Now Roundtable

We convened a special session of the CineFix Roundtable to discuss one bit of really big movie news that broke this week: Spider-Man’s joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Subscribe: http://goo.gl/9AGRm

We have a lot of thoughts, reactions and theories. Some of which will play out. Most of which won’t. But we gathered the team together to share while the speculation’s still hot!

There are some technicalities, of course, because adding Spidey to the team, some release date shuffling is going on. Thor: Ragnorak, Black Panther, and Inhumans are all getting slightly-to-much later release dates.

Also, it looks like we’ll be getting a new version of the Spider-Man character. With his MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War, there won’t be room for another re-run of the Spider-Man origin story.

All said, we’re grateful to the politics and economics that led us to this point! We’ll all stay tuned for more as this develops!
