بدأت مرعشلي رحلة العلاج من السرطان في العاصمة اللبنانية بيروت، من خلال زيارتها مستشفى الجامعة الأميركية كل 11 يوماً مع ابنتها الممثلة هيا مرعشلي، منذ اكتشاف مرضها قبل ثلاث سنوات ونصف تقريباً. وكانت بداية المرض من خلال ظهور كتلة بالثدي، قبل أن يمتد المرض الخبيث ليصيب كبد الفنانة الراحلة.
وتحدثت مرعشلي سابقاً عن المرحلة الأولى من مرضها في حديث إذاعي محلي، قائلةً: “كنتُ مريضة صحيح، لكني تفاديت نشر الخبر لأن المرض غير خطير، وعانيت من كتلة سليمة ونجحت بالقضاء عليها عبر الأدوية، والدليل هو انخراطي في الساحة الفنية ومشاركتي في أكثر من عمل”.
وبالفعل مرّت رندة في مرحلة تحسن، شاركت خلالها في بعض الأعمال الفنية قبل استفحال المرض الذي أدّى إلى دخولها المستشفى الإيطالي في العاصمة السورية دمشق.
وكانت مرعشلي عادت خلال رمضان الماضي إلى الساحة الدرامية عبر مسلسل “دامسكو”، وانتهت أخيراً من تصوير ثلاثية “لحظة صمت” من مسلسل “مدرسة الحب”، حيث أدّت شخصية مذيعة في راديو تقدم برنامجاً عن الحب وتنادي به وتعتبره مدخلاً للعيش والحياة الجميلة، فكان دورها الأخير.
وساءت حالة الفنانة الراحلة منذ أول من أمس الثلثاء، فتم نقلها من غرفتها إلى غرفة العناية المركّزة حيث توفت عن عمر يناهز التاسعة والثلاثين من عمرها. وفي هذه المرحلة أكّد جميع زوار رندة الذين عادوها في المستشفى، أنها على الرغم من كل شيء لم تتخلى عن ابتسامتها الجميلة ورقتها.
ونعت هيا والدتها قائلة “وداعاً يا ماما”، إلى جانب ما قاله نورس عبّود زوج رندة: “انتهت الكلمات وثقل الهواء وتغير لون الشجر وتوشحت السماء بألوان الحزن. بعد اليوم لا يوجد معنى للنظر، وداعاً رندة مرعشلي، وداعاً يا حبيبتي وداعاً يا دنيتي”.
ونعى عدد كبير من النجوم الفنانة الراحلة عبر صفحاتهم على شبكات التواصل الإجتماعي، فكتب الممثل القدير جهاد سعد: “لروحك السلام والرحمة”. ونشرت زميلتها ديمة الجندي قولها: “الله يرحمك و يجعل مثواكي الجنة ويصبر أهلك ومحبينك عفراقك”. وقالت الممثلة كندة حنا: “بعد بكير يا رندة”.
وتزوجت مرعشلي في سن صغيرة من الممثل السوري طارق مرعشلي فأنجبت منه هيا، قبل أن تتطلق منه. وتزوجت بعده خبير التجميل السوري عبّود في عام 2003، فأنجبت منه سيلينا وجود.
وبدأت مسيرتها الفنية بالأعمال المدبلجة. وقدّمت أول أدوارها كممثلة في مسلسل “حي المزار”، قبل أن تتابع مسيرتها التلفزيونية والسينمائية بأكثر من أربعين عملاً. ومنحت قبل أيام قليلة من وفاتها عضوية الشرف في نقابة الفنانين السوريين.
وتبدأ مراسم تشييع الراحلة صباح اليوم الخميس من المستشفى الإيطالي، لينقل جثمانها في تمام الساعة العاشرة صباحاً إلى مثواها الأخير في قرية وادي العيون.
