الرقة والرومانسية الحالمة هما عنوان النجمة مديحة سالم.. هذه الفنانة التى عرفها الجمهور بخجلها ورقتها وملامحها الجميلة التى تزينها “غمازتين” فى خدها.. ووضح ذلك فى دور “منى” الفتاة المراهقة ابنة صلاح ذو الفقار فى فيلم “أغلى من حياتى”، وكذلك هى المرأة الرقيقة زوجة يوسف فخر الدين فى “لصوص ولكن ظرفاء”. مديحة سالم نجمة كلاسيكية تحمل رائحة الزمن الجميل.. ليس بمظهرها ولا شياكتها.. لكن بساطتها وتلقائيتها التى تظهر فى كل مشهد تجسده، ورغم اعتزالها الفن فى عمر صغير واختيارها الابتعاد عن الأضواء إلا أن أعمالها السينمائية القديمة التى تعرض على قنوات الأفلام تجعلنا نتذكرها خاصة أن مديحة سالم مازالت تحمل رحيق زمن الفن الجميل برومانسيته وعذوبته، وتمر حاليا الفنانة الرقيقة بوعكة صحية وطلب المقربين منها الدعاء لها أملا فى التخفيف عنها. مديحة سالم التى ولدت فى 2 أكتوبر عام 1944 اشتهرت بتقديم الأدوار الثانية أمام كبار نجوم الفن حيث أطلق عليها “أشهر مراهقة” فى السينما المصرية ومن الأفلام التى شاركت فيها فيلم “حواء على الطريق” وفيلم “العريس يصل غدا” و”لصوص لكن ظرفاء” و”أم العروسة” و”حب وكبرياء” و”هى والرجال”. ويعتبر مسلسل “القط الأسود” من أهم ما قدمت مديحة سالم حيث كانت تشارك فى بطولته أمام الفنان الكبير محمود المليجى، وقدمت مسلسلات أخرى منها “الرجل والحصان” و”هارب من الأيام” وفى بداية الثمانينيات قررت الإعتزال ولكن مرضها أعادها مرة أخرى ،وكان المسلسل الدينى “القضاء فى الإسلام” فى 2001 آخر ما قدمت. وكان أشرف زكى نقيب الممثلين صرح ، بأن حالة الفنانة الصحية حرجة وطالب محبيها بأن يدعو لها بالشفاء.
