ملك الأردن عبد الله الثانى بن الحسين بن طلال وزوجته الملكة رانيا وأبنائه وصور نادرة مع والده

عبد الله الثاني بن الحسين بن طلال بن عبدالله بن حسين الهاشمي (30 يناير 1962)، ملك المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية. تولى الحكم في 7 فبراير 1999 بعد وفاة أبيه الملك الحسين بن طلال.
التعليم ومهنته العسكرية
درس الابتدائية في «الكلية العلمية الإسلامية» في عمّان وذلك عام 1966، ثم غادر إلى «مدرسة أدموند» في «سيري» في المملكة المتحدة، بالإضافة إلى «مدرسة أيجلبروك» و«أكاديمية
ديرفيلد» في الولايات المتحدة. وكان تدريب جامعته في «كلية بيمبروك» في أكسفورد. وفي عام 1980 غادر بيمبروك والتحق بأكاديمية ساندهيرست العسكرية الملكية في المملكة المتحدة
كمبتدئ وإنضم إلى الخيالة الملكية، وبعد سنة تم ترفيعه إلى ملازم ثاني. وفي عام 1987 أكمل دراسته العليا في مدرسة أدموند ولاش للسلك الأجنبي في جامعة جورجتاون في الولايات
المتحدة. وفي نوفمبر 1993 أخد القيادة الكاملة للقوات الخاصة الأردنية ورفع لرتبة لواء، وفيها أمر بإعادة تنظيم القوات الخاصة والوحدات الخاصة الأخرى تحت قيادة العمليات الخاصة
الأردنية. وبعد توليه الحكم وعلى أساس سلطاته الدستورية أصبح القائد الأعلى للقوات المسلحة، ويحمل الآن رتبة مشير في الجيش الأردني وسلاح الجو الملكي الأردني.
ولاية العهد
تولى ولاية العهد على فترتين، الأولى من يوم ولادته في 30 يناير 1962 إلى 1 أبريل 1965. والثانية من 24 يناير 1999 إلى 7 فبراير 1999.
ملكًا للأردن
تولى عرش المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية في 7 فبراير 1999 بعد وفاة والده الملك الحسين بن طلال، وتم تنصيبه في 9 يونيو من نفس العام فيما يعرف بيوم الجلوس الملكي
زواجه وأبناءه
في 10 حزيران / يونيو 1993 تزوج من رانيا فيصل ياسين وهي أردنية من أصل فلسطيني، ولقبت بعد الزواج بالأميرة رانيا العبد الله (الملكة رانيا العبد الله الآن)، ولديهم من الأبناء:
الأمير الحسين (ولد في 28 حزيران / يونيو 1994 – ولي العهد).
الأميرة ايمان (ولدت في 27 أيلول / سبتمبر 1996).
الأميرة سلمى (ولدت في 26 أيلول / سبتمبر 2000).
الأمير هاشم (ولد في 30 كانون الثاني / يناير 2005).

الهوايات والاهتمامات
له الكثير من الاهتمامات، فقد عرف إنه يحب المغامرة فلديه هواية القفز بالمظلات، وسباق سيارات والغوص.
كما عرف عنه بحبه للقصة الخيالية ستار تريك، وفي عام 1995 عندما كان أمير ظهر في مسلسل «ستار تريك: الرحالة»، كما إنه قام بدعوة الممثلين «ايثان فيليبس وروبيرت بيكاردو (نيليكس والدكتور الهولوجرامي) إلى الأردن، كما قام بمقابلة عدد من هواة ستار تريك في فندق الميريديان في عمّان حيث حصل على وسام فخري من الهواة والممثلين.
وكان من اهتماماته أيضًا صناعة الأفلام، فقام في 20 سبتمبر 2006 بتأسيس «معهد البحر الأحمر للفنون السينمائية» في العقبة بالشراكة مع «جامعة جنوب كاليفورنيا».
في 2014 فاز عبد الله الثانى بوسام التميز لأكثر الشخصيات تأثيرا في العالم من قائمة الملوك والرؤساء وكبار السياسيين، خلال التصويت الذي دشنه المجلس الدولي لحقوق الإنسان والتحكيم والدراسات السياسية والاستراتيجية

كتبه
ألف كتابًا بعنوان «فرصتنا الأخيرة: السعي نحو السلام في وقت الخطر» يتحدث فيه عن الصراع في الشرق الأوسط والعقبات التي تواجه حل هذا الصراع.
