استنكر المرشح الرئاسي الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، وصف الأمير السعودي الوليد بن طلال له بأنه “عار” على أمريكا.
ورد “ترامب”، في تدوينه له على موقع “تويتر”: “الأمير الوليد البليد يريد أن يتحكم بسياستنا في الولايات المتحدة بأموال الوالد، لن يستطيع فعل ذلك إذا انتُخبت”.
يذكر، أن الوليد بن طلال، وصف “ترامب” بعد دعوته بمنع المسلمين من دخول الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، بأنه “عار” على أمريكا.
وكتب “بن طلال”، خلال تدوينة له على موقع “تويتر”: “دونالد ترامب، أنت عار ليس فقط على الحزب الجمهوري بل على أمريكا بأكملها”.
وقال: “من الأفضل لك أن تنسحب من سباق الرئاسة الأمريكية، ولن تفوز أبدًا”.

الأمير الوليد بن طلال بن عبد العزيز آل سعود ولد في الرياض في 7 مارس 1955 وهو الابن الثاني للأمير طلال بن عبد العزيز، رجل أعمال سعودي يعد من أكبر المستثمرين في العالم. صنفته مجلة فوربس الأمريكية عام 2009 في الترتيب 22 من أغنياء العالم بثروة تقدر ب 13.3 مليار دولار وفي عام 2010 ارتفع ترتيبه إلى الترتيب 19 من أغنى أغنياء العالم بثروة تقدر ب 19.4 مليار دولار، جدّه لوالده هو الملك عبد العزيز آل سعود مؤسس المملكة العربية السعودية، وجده لأمه هو رياض الصلح رئيس أول حكومة استقلالية في لبنان.
