Egg-Stealing Baboon Incurs Wrath of Geese | National Geographic

Watch a hungry baboon fight off two geese to raid their nest for eggs in Kruger National Park, South Africa. Egyptian geese are aggressively territorial, and baboons are notoriously intelligent troublemakers—when the two meet a furious struggle ensues. Eventually the baboon is victorious, feasting on the eggs as the geese retreat. Baboons cause mayhem for humans as well; South Africa enacted a law in 2000 making it illegal to feed the scheming monkeys. They have been known to raid restaurants and homes, and there have even been reports of people mugged while carrying food.

The Doom Generation (1995) – Welcome to Carnoburger Scene (4/9) | Movieclips

The Doom Generation movie clips: http://j.mp/17Hp1T9
BUY THE MOVIE: http://j.mp/17Hp1CK
Don’t miss the HOTTEST NEW TRAILERS: http://bit.ly/1u2y6pr

CLIP DESCRIPTION:
A routine ordering of fast food turns hostile when the Carnoburger Cashier (Nicky Katt) mistakes Amy (Rose McGowan) for a former lover.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Billed as “a heterosexual movie by Gregg Araki,” The Doom Generation is the director’s self-styled bad-taste teen film. Amy Blue (Rose McGowan) is an obnoxious teenage speed freak and her boyfriend Jordan White (James Duval) is a passive, slow-witted poseur who won’t have sex with her because he’s terrified of AIDS (even though they both claim to be virgins). One day, they run across Xavier Red (Johnathon Schaech), a charming but enigmatic drifter who has a bad habit of killing people. Joining the young couple on a seemingly endless road trip, Xavier (or “X,”as the verbally challenged Jordan insists on calling him), proves a threatening and repulsive yet strangely alluring companion whose very presence raises issues of loyalty and sexual identity. The Doom Generation is dotted with a variety of eccentric cameo appearances, including comic Margaret Cho, actress Parker Posey, musician Perry Farrell, “Hollywood Madame” Heidi Fleiss, and onetime Brady Bunch star Christopher Knight. This is the middle installment in Araki’s “teen apocalypse trilogy,” which also includes 1993’s Totally F***ed Up and 1997’s Nowhere.

CREDITS:
TM & © Lionsgate (1995)
Cast: Nicky Katt, Johanna Went, James Duval, Johnathon Schaech, Rose McGowan
Director: Gregg Araki
Producers: Gregg Araki, Nicole Arbib, Pascal Caucheteux, Yves Marmion, Grgoire Sorlat, Andrea Sperling, Jim Stark, Shelley Surpin
Screenwriter: Gregg Araki

Watch Squid Snatch Squid in Surprise Attack | National Geographic

While calibrating equipment used to study deep sea creatures, Australia’s Marine National Facility captured this footage of one squid attacking another. Scientists are uncertain of the exact species of the squid involved, but they are likely neon flying squid or Nototodarus gouldi. It’s also possible the squid are two different species. The attack took place at a depth of about 443 feet below sea level.
