1990s Home Alone – and indeed its 1992 sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York – are two of the most iconic, memorable and hilarious Christmas movies of all time (the subsequent sequels not so much!). People still talk about them to this day – especially during the festive period – and many fans of the movies have come up with theories about them, which can be found scattered around the web. We’ve gone looking for some of the best (and darkest) that we could find and gathered them here. Those theories include; that Peter McCallister is a mob boss, that Frank McCallister was responsible for all the events that led to Kevin being left behind (and might have wanted him dead), that Kevin McCallister grew up to be the Jigsaw killer from the Saw series of movies, that Old Man Marley’s hand wound may have hidden a magical secret and been incredibly important, that John Candy’s Gus Polinski (“The Polka King of the Midwest”) might actually have been the devil himself, that Harry and Marv AKA the Wet/Sticky Bandits were actually Christmas spirits, that Peter McCallister was secretly training secret agents, that the McCallister family were actually a cult, that Old Man Marley was actually Kevin McCallister from the future and that the Mr. Duncan and the Pigeon Lady might have been in a relationship previously (but split for an upsetting reason). There are a lot of deaths that occur in the Star Wars universe. While we may mourn major characters like Darth Vader and Han Solo, it’s pretty crazy to see the amount of droids that are destroyed on the big screen.
Through the years, we’ve witnessed the destruction of droid after droid. A lot of them are done in completely unique ways and featuring some of your favorite heroes like Obi-Wan Kenobi, R2-D2, and Anakin Skywalker. The prequel trilogy of films features a number of new droids, including the massive army of battle droids. These droids have taken all form of destruction including explosions, headshots, and getting crushed by towers.
A number of helpful droids have also been killed through the years. This includes Obi-Wan’s assistant droids and the new droid friend introduced for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. One of the major droid enemies that the Jedi went up against was General Grievous, a master of lightsaber duels. Even Jar Jar Binks was able to kill off a few droids in Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. A number of lightsaber duels have destroyed droids, including creative hits by Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Even though they are just machines, a number of them have shown true personality in the moments before they were destroyed. And through all this chaos, R2-D2, C3PO, and BB8 all manage to survive. Watch to see all 25 of these brutal droid death unfold as they appeared in various Star Wars movies.
