Japanese video game culture includes some mainstream hits like Mario and Sonic, but gamers also enjoy a whole subculture of games known as JRPGs. Japanese role-playing games feature mature themes, crazy violence and some really bizarre storylines. See these crazy games and the reasons you shouldn’t be playing them with your parents.

Criminal Girls and their various sequels include missions where a man tries to save girls from their sins and performs all kinds of inappropriate acts. The Vandal Hearts II game features violence, attacks against woman and some of the craziest blood splatters seen on the PS1. E.V.O. Search for Eden follows the story of evolution and may go against your parent’s beliefs. Monster Monpiece is a collectible digital card game where players collect female cards and do some pretty weird actions with them. EF: A Fairy Tale of the Two follows the story of characters and their personal lives. With little to play, the game features a lot of mature cutscenes. Fan service should have been the name of the game with the release of Hyperdimension Neptunia. Explore the inside of your toilet in the classic action JRPG simply entitled Toilet Kids. Featuring suicide and cannibalism, the Digital Devil Saga should never be a part of your living room video game collection. The bizarre world of Cho Aniki games features a lot of mature content and scenes where your parents may ask questions. Watch to see all of these JRPG games and why they should always be played in the comfort of your room with the door closed.

Think you know everything about your favorite video games? Think again. Some of the biggest video games of all time might look very different once you consider these game-changing theories about what’s really going on in them. Buckle up.
For instance, Super Smash Bros. seems to be about actual Nintendo characters beating the stuffing out of each other. But what if it takes place in an imaginary world, and it’s just someone playing with toys? Or is Mario living a double life as a Street Fighter character? (You’ll never guess who). Or how about the lovable Kirby series. Does it take place after humanity has been wiped off the face of the earth?
Is Luigi dead? Is there more to Mario than meets the eye? These are the questions hardcore Nintendo fans have been pondering ever since the days of Donkey Kong. Do all of the Zelda games over the years take place in a single universe, on a unified timeline? Does Link get reincarnated time and again to battle against the evil Ganon? Or does your character in Pokemon have a secret dark side? He seems so innocent and lovable, but if he’s capable of capturing creatures to fight for him, maybe there’s more going on there than it seems on the surface.

Featuring:
Braid
Final Fantasy VIII
Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Zelda: Wind Waker
Final Fantasy VII
Pokemon Red/Blue
Metal Gear Solid 3
Mass Effect 3
Mass Effect 2
Super Mario Bros 3
Donkey Kong Country
And many more Games!

10 Split-Second Details You Totally Missed In Marvel Movies

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is absolutely CRAMMED with fun Easter Eggs and references – and some of them are rather hard to spot! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

However, pretty much everybody knows that S.H.I.E.L.D.’s map in Iron Man 2 highlighted some key Marvel locations, that Odin’s trophy room in the Thor movies contained some important Marvel relics, that the Collector’s museum in Guardians of the Galaxy contained some notable exhibits, and that the Grandmaster’s tower in Thor: Ragnarok featured some iconic characters – but this video will talk about the even more subtle and sometimes rather obscure split-second references in the MCU.

The split-second details in question are; Fin Fang Foom on a billboard in the first Iron Man movie, Journey into Mystery on a billboard in the first Thor movie, the Hitler punch in the first Captain America movie, the ravens Huginn and Muninn in the first Avengers movie, the words “Tales to Astonish” being spoken out loud in Ant-Man, Clint Barton calling Tony Stark “The Futurist” in Captain America: Civil War, Kronans very briefly appearing on screen in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, Bruce Banner featuring in a photograph in Spider-Man: Homecoming, the Shady Acres Care Home in Thor: Ragnarok, and New York, London and Hong Kong getting specific mentions in Black Panther.

We hope you enjoy the video! Please feel free to let us know your thoughts about it in the comments. And don’t forget to subscribe to Screen Rant’s YouTube channel so you never miss our great new videos in the future.

10 Secrets About How Movie Sound Effects Are Made

Did you know that everything from rain falling to snow crunching is recorded separately and added in later?? Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

Without sound, we wouldn’t have movies to immerse ourselves into. But it doesn’t stop there. Most of the sound effects you hear in a movie or TV show is actually artificially produced in a studio, meaning that what the production team is actually recording on set or on location isn’t the sound that makes it into the final cut. So a team of dedicated sound artists use random objects found in everyday life and replicate the sounds using a technique called “Foley”. Even the most simplest of sounds, like that of a dog walking, are more often than note remade in a studio. So how do you made a dog walking? Well, a bit of plastic and a keychain should do the trick. See where we’re going with this? The buzzing of insect or fairy wings isn’t made by the flying of a trapped bug in a jar but rather a bicycle wheel is what brings it to life. Fire is a dangerous thing to play with, especially in a tiny studio so foley artists have to replicate fire without any fire around. Cellophane, bubble wrap and bags of chips can help with that. The same goes with snow, which would melt in the studio unless it’s cold enough so cornstarn can be used and produce a similar effect. Then there’s more physical sounds, such as a blow to the face or someone falling to the ground. Both are impact based but no one even gets touched, instead the foley artists layer different impacts together to get that meaty impact sound. Layering also works with something like a horse gallop, which can actually be made by using real horse hooves but can also be used by hollow wooden objects or coconuts which will produce a similar effect. It’s this level of hard work that makes movies so real and which garner’s Oscars for sound engineering at the Academy Awards.
