Avengers 4 Theory: Will Thor Die To Complete The Real Ragnarok?

Will Thor sacrifice himself to save the day in Avengers 4? Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

The as-yet-untitled fourth Avengers movie – which we’ll colloqually refer to as “Avengers 4” for now, as seems to be the case with most people – will be released next year, and there’s no doubt it will result in the deaths of some prominent MCU heroes (oh god, we’re going to cry aren’t we?!).

Some of the more likely candidates include the original MCU Avengers, like Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and indeed Thor.

In this video, we’ll be looking into the theory that Thor will die in Avengers 4 – and that his death will complete the prophecy of Ragnarok that we were first introduced to in last year’s Thor: Ragnarok movie.

It would be poignant, as the God of Thunder missed his chance to save the universe in Avengers: Infinity War, when he embedded his new axe into Thanos’ chest, rather than his head.

Having him be the one to kill Thanos for good this time, while sacrificing himself, definitely works and would bring the character full circle.

Moreover, given that Ragnarok is supposed to be a cyclical event that ultimately results in the rebirth of the Norse gods, having Thor die in the movie wouldn’t necessarily even mean that he’d be gone for good in the MCU! Yey!

We hope you enjoy the video! Please leave a comment letting us know what you thought about it. And don’t forget to subscribe to Screen Rant’s YouTube channel, so you never miss our great new video uploads in the future.
