Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a game so good it’s going to single-handedly get gamers to buy a Nintendo Switch console. For starters, every single character that has ever appeared in a Super Smash Bros. game is playable in Ultimate and they introduced 12 new characters for the game with even more coming through DLC. Strange things are indeed happening in the Toy Story universe and considering the short teaser trailer we watched — there are going to be some big changes when Toy Story 4 get released on June 21st, 2019. One of the biggest debates sparked from the trailer involves Forky — the spork that has come alive thanks to a little creative use of pipe cleaners and googly eyes. But how can Forky come alive and interact with the other toys? Is Toy Story breaking their own rules? Join us as we break down Forky’s existence and how he fits into the Toy story universe.
It’s pretty obvious by now, Toy Story and all of it sequels live by its own rules. Just like other movies in the
Pixar universe where cars come to life, technology enables dogs to talk, and monsters sneak into bedrooms using portal doors, we simply just accept the fact that toys come to life when their owners are not looking.
The rules of Toy Story seemed pretty simple. Toys come alive when no one else is around. But now Forky trots along and throws everything we knew out the window. So can craft time add some new toys into the mix? At what point do these toys actually come alive? How can a simple spork bring on so many questions?! Thankfully, we don’t have to wait until Toy Story 4 for more answers because the past Toy Story films have already given us some more clues about how the toys come alive.
