Who taught Kylo Ren the ways of the Force? Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6
The Star Wars Canon is a fascinating concept. In short, the films, comics, shows and books all have the same weight on the story, meaning that if something major happens in a comicbook, it’s as important as if it were to have happened on the big screen. Well, something big recently just happened in the Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith comic by Charles Soule and it involves Kylo Ren. Despite the comic taking place between Episodes III and IV, the writer has made clear connections between Vader and his grandson, Kylo Ren. Even more interestingly though are the words Vader hears as he passes through the veil of the Force on Mustafar. In a giant red box, Soule put in the line “let the past die, kill it if you have to”. That passage will be instantly familiar to anyone who has seen The Last Jedi, as it’s arguably the most iconic line from the film and it’s a line that Kylo Ren speaks. Unlike other classic lines, such as “it’s a trap”, this line is way to specific to just be an easter egg. So we dove in deeper to underwrap the implications of having this line in the comic and how it can effect Kylo Ren. Thanks to information established earlier on in the same comic book and scenes from The Force Awakens, it seems very possible that Darth Vader himself may have been in contact with his grandson from beyond the grave. How is this possible? You’ll just have to watch to find out!

Gaming grandma
My 87-year-old grandma has played Animal Crossing New Leaf on her 3DS every single day for the past 4 years now.
Her 3DS finally broke this year, so we got her a new one for Christmas. During a system transfer I checked her activity log: pic.twitter.com/R33KycrW4q

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a game so good it’s going to single-handedly get gamers to buy a Nintendo Switch console. It may just seem like your typical fighting game on the surface, but it’s much more than that. An installment of the franchise has been released on every Nintendo console since the N64 and we’re going to tell you why Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the best one yet.
For starters, every single character that has ever appeared in a Super Smash Bros. game is playable in Ultimate and they introduced 12 new characters for the game with even more coming through DLC. To top it all off, you could even use a trusty GameCube controller to play Ultimate on your Switch. If that isn’t incredible, we don’t know what is. Enjoy the video and don’t forget to subscribe to TheGamer for more SSBU content!
