When it comes to the Dragon Ball franchise there is no shortage of lore or characters. It can get a little bit confusing for even the most ardent of fans and it seems like even series creator Akira Toriyama has trouble keeping up with it all. We’re going to be talking about some of the craziest things that never happened in the history of the Dragon Ball universe. Everyone knows Goku reluctant marries Chi-Chi, but Toriyama’s editor once hoped he would set Goku up with another more popular character. The Saiyan history is more than a bit confusing and has been changed so many times we aren’t even sure we know the whole story yet.

We’ll also talk about some plotlines and characters which seemed like they were being set up and then never amounted to anything. Who doesn’t remember Launch, who was a big part of Dragon Ball and then just disappeared forever? And whatever happened to the revenge the Crane Hermit and Tao Pai-pai swore to get on Tien Shinhan? And speaking of abandoning your goals, remember when Vegeta was determined to collect all of the Dragon Balls and become immortal?

The catastrophic death of a massive star, a supernova explosion, is among the most powerful and important events in the cosmos. These brilliant bursts produce not only spectacular nebulae, but also exotic remnant objects, including neutron stars, black holes, and gamma-ray bursts. They strongly shape the structure and chemistry of their host galaxies. Perhaps most significantly, the stellar debris ejected into interstellar space is chock-full of the heavy elements that make planets and life possible. Professor Milisavljevic will vividly describe the ways that supernovae critically influence our universe. Breakthrough science opportunities are becoming possible through new synergies between the Hubble Space Telescope and observing facilities sensitive to electromagnetic energy, neutrinos, and gravitational waves.

This is the story of Jacqueline. After losing her son, Adam, to a heroin overdose, Jacqueline dedicated herself to helping other families struggling with substance use by volunteering as a Parent Coach with Partnership for Drug-Free Kids.

Nearly half of Americans have a friend or family member who has been addicted to drugs.  Many of us keep all kinds of unneeded medications in our unlocked medicine cabinets. But these highly addictive medications are at high risk of being misused by friends and family members. Safely disposing of unneeded medications is a simple, concrete step that everyone can take to keep friends and loved ones safe. That’s why twice a year, in April and October, Google partners with the DEA to promote National Prescription Drug Take Back Day and make it easier for everyone to find a convenient drug collection site near them.

#TakeBackDay is Saturday, April 27th, from 10AM-2PM. We urge you to make a plan to take back your unused medications. Find a nearby drop off site at https://g.co/rxtakeback.
