Spider-Man’s MCU contract is coming to an end. Originally, Sony gave Marvel the rights to have Spider-Man for five films. Spider-Man: Far From Home will be number five. Due to this, fans are talking about the possibility of Spider-Man departing the MCU and going back to Sony. Sony are creating their own version of the MCU, the Sony Marvel Universe with the film rights of Marvel characters they still have. However, if a new deal can be agreed, that won’t be the case. In fact, one of Sony’s newer, popular Spider-related characters could move into the MCU as well. That character being Venom.

In the video today, we will be discussing a little history on the Disney and Sony deal on Spider-Man. Such as how it came about and what the deal exactly included. Then, we’ll be looking at how Tom Hardy’s Venom may already exist within the MCU. We also examine the possibility that Venom may be introduced properly in Far From Home. To top all of it off, we’ll be discussing the circumstances of how the symbiote-hero could be brought in to make his MCU debut. From alternate dimensions, to time travel, and Marvel’s expanding cosmic lore, we take a look at a variety of possible avenues. So, stick around and watch as we explore this exciting possibility.

Are we done with Endgame spoiler warnings yet? No? Well, if you can’t tell from the title of the video, we’re going to be doing a deep dive into every element of Endgame, looking for clues about the next Avengers movie, and the future of the MCU at large.

We’re talking new directions for old characters, new characters who might show up soon, location changes, new line ups, and new directions:

A new direction for representation in the MCU. The retirement of a classic character. A character who could pick up an old mantle. A change in location that could shake up the Avengers. A fan favourite new character who could play a bigger role. A new source of weapons and tech after the loss of Tony Stark. A character who’s proved themselves and needs a chance to step up. A shift in focus on the demographics of the MCU. The torch passed on a Marvel icon. A can of worms the Avengers may have opened with their latest plan. A villain who made a slick escape. A new team which could supplant the Avengers. A founding team member who will probably not be in the next Avengers. A group of characters who could have a shot as the New Avengers. A Marvel hero who is ready to join the team. The title card that shocked us all.

This summer, Spider-Man: Far From Home will bring the MCU’s third phase to its climax.

Very little is known about Phase Four at the moment – other than the fact there’ll definitely be movies focused on Black Widow and the Eternals – and that means a lot of speculation is currently occurring.

In this video, we’ll take you through some of the most interesting theories about what might be in store for us in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Please note that there will be Avengers: Endgame spoilers (both in the video itself and in the following text).

The theories include; that Thanos will be resurrected and return to the MCU, that Steve Rogers will be plucked out of time to help the Avengers in the future, that Natasha Romanoff isn’t actually dead, that we’ll get a new Iron Man now that Tony Stark’s dead, that Norman Osborn or Doctor Doom will be big-bads going forward in the franchise, that Namor, Black Night, Moon Knight, Blade, Nova and the Silver Surfer will all appear, that the Fantastic Four will be introduced and get their powers from the Quantum Realm, and that the X-Men will be introduced as characters from a different universe (now that the Multiverse is well and truly a thing in the franchise).

Avengers: Endgame was treated like a series finale for the MCU. Whilst technically there is one more film in Phase 3, that being Spider-Man: Far From Home, Endgame is often thought as the end to a new beginning. There are so many possibilities to what the future holds for Marvel’s film fans. Today, we’ll be looking at moments in Endgame that will change the MCU forever. One part of the video is looking at how the landscape is different for the MCU audience. Such as characters “kicking the bucket”, new characters being introduced, and new elements being introduced such as time travel. Each topic will affect the MCU’s future in some way. Sometimes the moment may be small, but the implications to Marvel could be great!

We aren’t just choosing moments that affect us as the audience. Nope, we shall be considering factors that affect the actual characters within the MCU. Such as the New Captain America taking the reins, the formally dusted citizens, or New Asgard being established on Earth. We examine how the characters will cope and what their future entails with the climatic change. Regardless of whether it’s us as the viewers that are affected or the MCU characters, the future of the MCU will be vastly different to before Thanos laid siege to Marvel’s cinematic universe. So, strap in and get reminiscing on the MCU’s past as we look at why the MCU will be a completely different landscape in the near future.
