Black holes hold the key to some of the pressing mysteries in modern science. Whether in isolation or in binary systems, they are excellent laboratories to probe high-energy physics and Einstein’s theory of gravity. The detection of gravitational waves from binary mergers marked the dawn of a new era in astronomy, and planned space-based detectors will open a new observational window at low frequencies. Gravitational waves from compact binaries carry important information on their astrophysical formation mechanisms, and on the evolution of the universe as a whole. Join us for a discussion about how gravitational-wave detectors can not only advance our understanding of black hole formation and growth, but also search for potential “smoking guns” of new physics.

DC fans have been waiting for this moment since 2016. The trailer for the new Harley Quinn movie, Birds of Prey: The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, is here. And judging by the stylish sets and interesting politics already on display, this movie really could make up for the Jared Leto Joker. It could even be a part of the new DC era, where they make entertaining, interesting movies, like the Joaqin Phoenix JOKER.
The trailer introduces each of member of Quinn’s new crew. There’s Huntress, the daughter of murdered mafiosos, played by Mary Elizabeth Wirstead. We see her in the trailer praying and she seems, in many ways, the opposite of Harley Quinn (murderous tendencies aside). Cassandra Cain shows up too, played by the young, shy Ella Jay Basco who could end up being Batgirl. Black Canary, played by Jurnee Smollett-Bell, will be lending her supersonic pipes to the group of ant-heroes as well as her in with the villain, Black Mask, who will be brought to life onscreen by the one and only Ewan McGregor. Not only does he have a sidekick in Victor Zsasz (Chris Messina), but he’s alsi got a whole gang of false-faced henchmen to do his bidding and a jazzy nightclub as a secret lair. To stand up to the villains, Quinn’s got another team member who many fans may remember from Batman: The Animated Series. Renee Montoya, the cop who quits the Gotham PD after becoming fed up with its corrupt ways, is played by none other than Rosie Perez. Watch on for even more!

Three different Supermen are headed to CW’s Arrowverse! Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant
The Arrowverse is gearing up for its next big crossover on December 8th, Crisis On Infinite Earths. The cross-show TV event is exciting for many reasons but today we’d like to focus on just one: Superman.
The Man Of Steel hasn’t had a lot of airtime in the Arrowverse so far. Last year’s crossover, Elseworlds, saw him playing his biggest role yet, in a battle against the evil version of himself. This year, though, there won’t be just one actor playing the caped crusader, but three, and each of them is from a past iteration of Superman. There’s Tyler Hoechlin, who is already in the Arrowverse, the guy who fights himself in Elseworlds.
Then, there’s Brandon Routh, who had the role way back in 2006 for Superman Returns. Since almost fifteen years have passed, Routh will be playing the older, Kingdom Come Superman, who is hardened and bitter after the death of a very special loved one and disenchanted with the moral compass of the public he serves.
But fans are perhaps most excited about Tom Welling’s return. He played Clark Kent in Smallville from the year 2001 to 2011. That’s ten years! Although he only turned into Superman proper, with the costume and cape, at the very end of the show, this is the version of Superman fans know best. The prospect of seeing Welling in full Superman mode is an exciting one.

Scarlet Witch could be the next big threat to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant
With the end of Avengers: Endgame, we got to see our favorite heroes battle it out proper with the biggest, and gnarliest villain the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ever seen, Thanos himself.
However, now that Thanos is a pile of dust, no more a threat to anything other than a dust buster, we are all looking to the future. What sort of threats are on the horizon? Galactus? Kang the Conqueror? MODOK?
We here at Screen Rant are thinking that we should instead be looking at someone we already know. Someone we trust…
We are talking about Scarlet Witch herself, Wanda Maximoff.
Now hold up there Screen Rant dude, she’s a hero! How can she be the next big threat!
Well, in this video, we are going to tell you all about it! How we think Wandavision will set up a mental break for the character, and how we may be seeing her going toe-to-toe to Doctor Strange himself not too long after that.
So let’s get right on into it!
