More than two decades have passed since Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, changed the future, and re-wrote the fate of the human race. Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) is living a simple life in Mexico City with her brother (Diego Boneta) and father when a highly advanced and deadly new Terminator – a Rev-9 (Gabriel Luna) – travels back through time to hunt and kill her. Dani’s survival depends on her joining forces with two warriors: Grace (Mackenzie Davis), an enhanced super-soldier from the future, and a battle-hardened Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton). As the Rev-9 ruthlessly destroys everything and everyone in its path on the hunt for Dani, the three are led to a T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from Sarah’s past that may be their last best hope.

With three feature-length movies, multiple video games, and a whole book series, the Blair Witch Project is now a pop-culture icon and horror franchise, but it didn’t start that way.

The year is 1999. The decade was dominated by the teen slasher genre with films like Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Halloween H2O, and Urban Legend scaring up audiences and raking in the dough. And then The Blair Witch Project came along. There was no masked villain — just an entity in the forest. There was no sleek filming, a pop music infused soundtrack, or stars plucked from Dawson’s Creek. The budget of the film hovered around $60,000. And by the end of its initial run, The Blair Witch Project would go on to gross nearly $250 million dollars worldwide. But how did it happen?

Well, the origins of the Blair Witch began back in 1997, when a couple of ambitious filmmakers decided to make a fake-documentary short on the Blair Witch and got the short to air on the IFC show “Split-Screen”. Through the eight-minute short, directors Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez were able to get enough funding to make a feature-length version of the movie. Hiring three amateur actors for the parts of the documentary crew, the movie would be a far-cry from any type of Hollywood production.

With a few cameras, a group of amerture actors, and an extremely low budget, the filmmaker of the Blair Witch Project not only set out to create some horrific horror, but fool everyone in the process. Learn how the 1999 movie fooled everyone into believing it was real, how people still believe it to this day, and how the legacy of the Blair Witch Project has influenced horror movies forever.

ظافر العابدين ممثل تونسي، ولد بمدينة تونس في 26 نوفمبر 1972.
ابتدأ لاعبًا لكرة قدم محترفًا لفترة وجيزة حتى بلغ عمر 23 سنة حيث أصيب مما جعله يبتعد عن الملاعب لعامين، ثم بدأ دراسته في علم الحاسوب، بينما كان في نفس الوقت عارض أزياء في وكالة متروبوليتان الباريسية. عمل أيضا مساعدًا للمخرج المنصف ذويب. ارتحل بعد ذلك إلى لندن لتعلم اللغة الإنكليزية، ثم التحق بكلية برمنغهام للخطابة والدراما، التي تخرج منها عام 2002. عام 2002 قبل تخرجه، لعب دور قائد فريق كرة قدم فرنسي اسمه «مارسيل ساباتييه» في المسلسل التلفزيوني البريطاني «دريم تيم» ‏ الذي عرض على البي بي سي وفي مسلسل «ذو بيل» (بالعامية الإنكليزية، أي الشرطة) الذي عُرض على قناة آي تي في. في السينما، لعب دوراً في الفيلم التلفزيوني «ذو مارك أوف كاين» في دور «عمر عبد الله». كما لعب دوراً في فيلم شفرة دا فنشي، لكنه أُقتطع عند التوليف.

من خلال دور «محمد علي» أو «دالي» في المسلسل التونسي مكتوب، أصبح ظافر العابدين مثالا للشاب المرغوب للمرأة في تونس، وهي سابقة أولى لشخصية تونسية. اختارته العديد من العلامات التجارية لترويج منتجاتها، على غرار المشروب الغازي بوڨا سيدر في تونس وجهينة في مصر والشرق الأوسط.

قام ظافر بتقديم برنامج «أمير الشعراء» عام 2007 على قناة دبي الفضائية. كما قدم أيام قرطاج السينمائية عام 2008.
عام 2012 شارك في أول أعماله في الدراما المصرية من خلال مسلسل “فرتيجو” عن قصة أحمد مراد ومن بطولة هند صبري ونضال الشافعي ومن إخراج عثمان أبو اللبن كما شارك في بطولة سلسلة بريطانية تحمل عنوان “نيو تريكس” للمخرج الأمريكي “جوليان آنثانك”

في موسم رمضان 2013 شارك في دور “رأفت” في مسلسل “نيران صديقة” مع منة شلبي و عمرو يوسف ومجموعة من الفنانين الشباب ومن إخراج خالد مرعي. و شارك أيضا الفنان ظافر العابدين في مسلسل بعنوان الإنجيل والذي قام ببطولته الفنان كيث ديفيد والفنان دييجو مورجاد و والفنان داروين شو والفنانة رومي داوني والفنانة لويز ديلامير

في 2014 إنضم ظافر العابدين إلى طاقم تمثيل السلسلة البوليسية الفرنسية الشهيرة “أنغروناج” في موسمها الخامس عن فكرة وإخراج لالكسندرا كلارت و غي باتريك سانداريشين وإنتاج شركة صوت وصورة بالتعاون مع ثلاث قنوات فرنسية. كما سيكون ظافر العابدين نجم مسلسل مكتوب 4 اللذي تعرضه قناة التونسية

هذا وقد أعلن الممثل التونسيّ ظافر العابدين، لـ”مصر اليوم”، أنه سيبدأ تصوير مشاهده في مسلسل “فرق توقيت” وأشار ظافر، إلى أنه بعد انتهائه من “فرق توقيت” سيستكمل تصوير مسلسله الفرنسيّ “التروس”، والذي يُعدّ من أكثر الأعمال التلفزيونيّة الفرنسيّة مبيعًا، ويُشاهَد في 70 دولة.

و لا ينفك النجم التونسي ظافر العابدين على يتألق ويتميز في كل تجربة جديدة يخوضها سواء في العالم العربي أو خارجه كما خاض تجربة التقديم التلفزيوني من جديد، على تلفزيون دبي هذه المرّة، في النسخة العربية من البرنامج العالمي The Cube الذي يعرض على قناة بريطانية منذ 8 مواسم متواصلة ويعرض حاليا في نسخ روسية وصينية و فرنسية

يسكن ظافر في لندن وهو متزوج وله ابنة، كما يتحدث ظافر العربية والفرنسية والإنجليزية والإيطالية.
