Veterans served their nation selflessly, but service sometimes weighs heavily on their mental health, and stigma can be a barrier to seeking help. With support from Google’s veteran community, a group of U.S. veterans ranging from a Google employee to a retired Admiral shared firsthand stories about the value of coming forward and asking for help.
This is Dustin’s story. After multiple deployments, he returned home, struggled with PTSD and lost his marriage. After intensive treatment and hard work, Dustin reclaimed his life and is remarried with children.
