The 1990s were a great time for cartoon characters like Pinky and the Brain, Arthur Read, Doug Funnie and Johnny Bravo to shine on the small screen. There have been lots of awesome animated shows from the 90s like Pokémon, Rugrats, Daria, and Dexter’s Laboratory that helped define the decade, but which characters from these shows stood out the most? Will we include your Cartoon Network favorites like Courage the Cowardly Dog or one of the Powerpuff Girls? Which character from South Park will make our list: Kenny, Cartman, Kyle or Stan?
For this list, we’re looking at the cartoon characters we consider to be the best of the decade, and the ones that helped define the ‘90s for cartoon television.
