James Cameron’s visionary sci-fi action movie about a killer robot sent from the from the future to kill the mother of humanity’s future savior is not only well worth a watch on its own merits, it’s an absolute must-watch because of the massive, and still-growing franchise. Terminator: Genisys will be out later this year, and we’re pretty sure you won’t enjoy it nearly enough if you can’t catch its references to the first film.

Also, The Terminator was a bit of a star-maker for a certain body builder from Austria, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
