In this State of Jailbreak video I discuss the brand new iOS 4.3 update for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G and iPad and what it means to jailbreaking. There are several jailbreak exploits that could be used on iOS 4.3 on current devices as well as a couple for the Verizon iPhone 4 depending on what Apple has patched.

Some of the new features in iOS 4.3 include support for a wireless hotspot, however this will depend on the carrier so don’t expect it on all iPhones. Better support for AirPlay is also on tap, allowing individual apps to output video using AirPlay. There also is the option to swipe up to open the multitasking bar on the iPad. In addition the option to choose whether you want the mute switch to mute or serve as an orientation lock on the iPad has been added.

Unfortunately it appears that support for the iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G has been dropped in iOS 4.3 making it seem that iOS 4.2.1 is the end of the line for those devices.
