Batman and Superman have been around for years, but along with their comic book debuts, one of the oldest superheroes of all-time is Shazam! Originally known as Captain Marvel, the hero has gone through many changes over the years and is now a part of DC’s big library of characters. For new fans, it may be hard to fan issues of Shazam on the shelf, but pretty soon he will be filling up theaters with his comedic big-screen adaptation. Instead of going into the movie blind, learn about Shazam’s DC origins and how the character has developed over the years.

DC Comics were not actually the original publishers of the Shazam comic book. That honor went to Fawcett Comics. In the early 1940’s Shazam rose in popularity with great stories featuring Billy Baston and his transformation into Shazam. Multiple lawsuits caused the comic to be cancelled and later purchased by DC Comics. DC Comics have done a lot with Shazam over the years, including the introduction of multiple side characters and key villains like Black Adam. In the early 1990s, Shazam had another big comeback and was included with the New 52 and Rebirth storylines involving several other characters. Now Zachary Levi is stepping into the shoes of the hero, transforming from Billy Baston and into the hero fans will be talking out for many years to come. Grand Theft Auto is the granddaddy of open world video games. There’s literally nothing you can’t do in the game. Every fantasy you’ve ever wanted to do can become a reality in this sandbox. It has given GTA plenty of controversy over the years, but it’s all good fun.

Despite all the backslash from the media, GTA still continues to thrive and GTA 5 is no exception. The game came out all the way back in 2013, made the jump to next gen consoles a year later and is still selling like hot cakes 5 years after release. The main reason for this is GTA Online and its seemingly endless free updates, but with every online multiplayer game comes the modders and cheaters who ruin it for everyone. Sometimes, they remain hidden and subtly work their magic, but other times, they’re caught and shamed in public.

Hook is a 1991 American fantasy adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg[3] and written by James V. Hart and Malia Scotch Marmo. It stars Robin Williams as Peter Banning / Peter Pan, Dustin Hoffman as Captain Hook, Julia Roberts as Tinker Bell, Bob Hoskins as Smee, Maggie Smith as Wendy, Caroline Goodall as Moira Banning, and Charlie Korsmo as Jack Banning. It acts as a sequel to J. M. Barrie’s 1911 novel Peter and Wendy focusing on an adult Peter Pan who has forgotten all about his childhood. For a trilogy of movies about monsters, the Hotel Transylvania movies are pretty fun and light-hearted. Even with all of the goofy moments, the films still manage to deliver a lot of dark moments and ideas which may go right over children’s heads. For Hotel Transylvania 3, Dracula and his family head out on a summer vacation aboard a cruise ship.

The film is filled with a lot of goofy moments while out to sea, but look a little deeper to discover exactly what makes the third film so dark. While on the cruise ship, the characters are greeted and taken care of by fish. But the more we see these fish on-screen, the more questions we have about them. The ship itself is also modeled after one of the biggest disasters in boating history — even spoofing movie posters and other parts of movie Titanic. Before even arriving on the cruise ship, the characters encounter Gremlins Air, a dark reference to a couple of classic and creepy horror films. Many Hotel Transylvania films revolve around discovering who the true monsters really are. In the third movie, the message is clear — humans have misunderstood monsters for years and projected their own feelings on them. One of the main locations in the film is the Bermuda Triangle — a location known for some pretty horrible real-life disasters and mess-ups. Watch to see all these dark moments and how they appeared on the big screen for Hotel Transylvania 3. Each moment features some pretty dark observations about the light-hearted family film.

Here at TheGamer, we’re massive fans of Fortnite. This is the wonderful game from Epic Games which, we think, has changed the way we play video games. One thing we really appreciate is the way the game’s developers have dealt with cheaters by giving them a Fortnite ban. However, there have been times when they got it wrong and people have been banned for no reason, when they were actually not cheating.

In one case, going to one area meant an automatic ban even though it was the fault of a glitch in the game. That’s right, you had to avoid jumping on the tyre swing if you wanted to stay in the game. There’s also the tale of a kid who got banned after picking up some loot, as well as a couple of others who got banned while just playing. Let’s be honest, for every good Fortnite player, there’s about 10 players who are absolute trash. Now, some of us are actually good at the game, but most of us are pretty terrible. While some of us will most likely been seen in the fail category, even the worst player can have an epic win every once in a while.

On the topic of epic wins, one player found a minigun glitch that’s both ridiculous and hilarious, allowing you to use a weapon while you’re knocked down and out of the fight. We’ll also look at some other feats of incredible skill including 360 no scopes and 250 meter longshots because, if Call of Duty taught us anything, those are super cool. We even have some fails in the form of shopping carts and floor traps. Watch to see part 4 of Fortnite Battle Royale epic wins and fails!
