It’s safe to say that JR Tolkien set the bar incredibly high with his fantasy series The Lord of the Rings. Between the books and movies he really set the standard for the genre and A Song of Ice And Fire author George RR Martin admits to being inspired by his work. But are there some times when his series went from paying tribute to straight up stealing? We’ll look over some interesting parallels between some of the characters and let you decide whether Jon Snow more closely resembles Aragorn or Frodo Baggins.

Although the Iron Throne has no magical powers it functioned very similarly to the One Ring, at least where Daenerys Targaryen was concerned. She may have turned into the mad queen in the end but Arya Stark was able to accomplish something truly incredible and survive to tell about it much like another popular female character from Return of the King. Oh, and do we even have to point out the tons of similarities between Samwell Tarly and Samwise Gamgee?

Spider-Man’s MCU contract is coming to an end. Originally, Sony gave Marvel the rights to have Spider-Man for five films. Spider-Man: Far From Home will be number five. Due to this, fans are talking about the possibility of Spider-Man departing the MCU and going back to Sony. Sony are creating their own version of the MCU, the Sony Marvel Universe with the film rights of Marvel characters they still have. However, if a new deal can be agreed, that won’t be the case. In fact, one of Sony’s newer, popular Spider-related characters could move into the MCU as well. That character being Venom.

In the video today, we will be discussing a little history on the Disney and Sony deal on Spider-Man. Such as how it came about and what the deal exactly included. Then, we’ll be looking at how Tom Hardy’s Venom may already exist within the MCU. We also examine the possibility that Venom may be introduced properly in Far From Home. To top all of it off, we’ll be discussing the circumstances of how the symbiote-hero could be brought in to make his MCU debut. From alternate dimensions, to time travel, and Marvel’s expanding cosmic lore, we take a look at a variety of possible avenues. So, stick around and watch as we explore this exciting possibility.

This summer, Spider-Man: Far From Home will bring the MCU’s third phase to its climax.

Very little is known about Phase Four at the moment – other than the fact there’ll definitely be movies focused on Black Widow and the Eternals – and that means a lot of speculation is currently occurring.

In this video, we’ll take you through some of the most interesting theories about what might be in store for us in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Please note that there will be Avengers: Endgame spoilers (both in the video itself and in the following text).

The theories include; that Thanos will be resurrected and return to the MCU, that Steve Rogers will be plucked out of time to help the Avengers in the future, that Natasha Romanoff isn’t actually dead, that we’ll get a new Iron Man now that Tony Stark’s dead, that Norman Osborn or Doctor Doom will be big-bads going forward in the franchise, that Namor, Black Night, Moon Knight, Blade, Nova and the Silver Surfer will all appear, that the Fantastic Four will be introduced and get their powers from the Quantum Realm, and that the X-Men will be introduced as characters from a different universe (now that the Multiverse is well and truly a thing in the franchise).
