The internet still can’t seem to shake off that nightmare-inducing Sonic trailer… and here’s why! Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant
On April 30th, 2019, Paramount pictures released a trailer for a Sonic The Hedgehog movie, and… it didn’t go well. In this video we’re going to give into the reasons why Sonic’s new design looks so horrifying, and it all stems from a little place called the Uncanny Valley. No, that’s not a tourist attraction in Arizona, it’s a real thing that causes us to be creeped out when things start to take on too many human characteristics.
We realize we’re a little late to the game with this video, but, you know, we just needed a little time to digest the horrors of this trailer, which we’re sure you can understand. The producers of the movie have already stated that they’re re-designing the character based on the fan reaction to the trailer, but it’s still important to note why people had such an adverse reaction to it in the first place. So settle in because we’re going to have a little chat about our little blue boy, Sonic.

Here are 10 epic fight scenes that were copied from other movies! Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. If Hollywood has one mantra, that might be it. For over a century filmmakers have stuck with what works in bringing stories to life on the big screen, often borrowing or copying from previous films to achieve their ends. Sometimes they borrow conceptually – how George Lucas’ love of the “Flash Gordon” serial helped inspire “Star Wars” – while other times they take a lot more. How, for example, George Lucas borrowed the plot of “The Hidden Fortress” to create “Star Wars.” Either way, the more successful film overshadows its predecessor and the latter is forgotten about by audiences, so today we’re here to point out some instances where filmmakers copied scenes from other, often lesser known movies.
From the Vader-Skywalker duel on Cloud City to the mind-bending shootouts in “The Matrix,” and the Thanos-Avengers melee in “Infinity War” audiences have been treated to some epic fight sequences over the years and while some of these are unprecedented works of awesomeness, others are straight up carbon copies of previous, less famous films. Whether producers, writers, and directors intentionally and shamelessly took fight sequences from other productions to furnish their own films with chills and thrills is not always clear, however, the influence is undeniable. Especially when a fight is re-created shot by shot and blow by blow from the original. Either way, Hollywood has thrived on taking the old and making it new again and this video is an attempt to highlight some examples and further examine this in a little more detail.
They say imitation is the highest form of flattery and if that’s true, some films on this list are falling over themselves in praise for their predecessors.

Step inside the pitch meeting that led to Disney’s The Lion King… again. Subscribe for more Pitch Meetings: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant
Disney is on a rampage of “live action” remakes of their classic animated movies, and the latest film on the list is The Lion King. Director Jon Favreau brings to life our favorite characters like Simba, Nala, Timon and Pumbaa in a way that’s… maybe a little too realistic? The movie raises a lot of questions. Like why did they decide to go SO realistic with the visuals? Why did they cut out all the fun cartoony parts? Why is Beyonce hitting so many notes in a single song? What emotions are these lions even feeling?!
To answer all these questions and more, step inside the pitch meeting that led to Disney’s The Lion King… again! It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience!
