When it comes to big underground sleeper online video game successes in recent years, there haven’t been many bigger than PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Better known to video game players as PUBG, this is the multiplayer battle royale game that’s got everybody talking. People can’t get enough of the action or the excitement that Bluehole’s game brings to the table.
Unfortunately though, while it’s popularity has brought it accolades, it’s also brought it the unwanted attention of people who don’t want to play fairly and get an underhand advantage. However, we’re sure you’ll be pleased to hear that some of these cheats have got the justice they deserve.
Hacking games is illegal, and it’s even more illegal when you sell the hacks you’ve designed to other players so they can get an unfair advantage. That’s what is thought to have been the case with more than 140 hackers who tried to sell their exploits. They were arrested by Chinese authorities and fined a massive amount of money. There’s also people who tried to cheat, but got caught out by the BattleEye program, earning them a ban from the PUBG servers. You’ll also hear all about someone who got caught out using a cheat which meant he didn’t have to worry about aiming his weapon and another gamer who used as many cheats as he could, but got taken out.
