10 Movies That Prove Disney Is Out Of Ideas

While some believe that the best Disney classic animated movies are better left alone, the studio itself would have to disagree. Disney has so many upcoming live action remakes of its most beloved cartoon features in the works for the coming years that the sheer volume might just make your head spin. Some might be totally against the idea of rebooting these classics, but it’s impossible to deny the power they seem to have at the box office and with audiences everywhere. But you have to wonder, is it all for the money? Has the studio run out of fresh ideas and so rebooting their beloved originals is just a strategy to get audiences to the theatres? Whatever you think, there are some serious adaptations in the works, whether we want them or not! Like the soon-to-be-a-smash-hit The Lion King, starring Beyonce, Donald Glover, and more! Or the upcoming Aladdin, in which Will Smith has some big curly shoes to fill. There’s a live-action Mulan that is sure to wow, Tim Burton’s Dumbo that looks as spectacular and heartbreaking as the original, a Lilo and Stitch live action update, and a Lady and The Tramp remake with a totally stacked cast. Guillermo Del Toro will be lending his talents to Pinocchio, Prince Charming (or, his little brother) will be getting his own stand-alone movie, Snow White will be brought to life once again, and finally, David Lowery is the perfect director to take another swing at the classic story of Peter Pan.
