Far Cry 6 is poised to introduce players to the world of Yara, an embattled Caribbean island-state ruled by despotic overlord El Presidente Antón Castillo (Giancarlo Esposito). To take back the island, players will have to unite with Libertad, an army of guerrilla fighters, and learn the art of “Resolver.” In our first hands-off preview, we got to see plenty of the new systems that await players, from new stealth mechanics to animal companions Chorizo and Guapo to brand new super-weapons called Supremos. The latest from Ubisoft looks to put more options in players’ hands than ever before. There’s plenty to unpack in our Far Cry 6 reaction, so let’s get into it.

Far Cry 6 is back with the Far Cry 6: Character Trailer – Introducing Dani Rojas and IGN is here to break it all down in the latest Rewind Theater. Opposing Far Cry 6’s Dani Rojas and guerrila force known as Libertad is the villainous tyrant, Anton Castillo, played by Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, The Mandalorian) and Diego Castillo, played by Anthony Gonzalez (Pixar’s Coco).

In order to take the fight to the streets of Yara and across the island of Esperanza, Dani will have to join the guerrila force, Libertad. By adopting their “Resolver” philosophy, Dani will have to craft and customize weapons and vehicles with the help of whatever is lying around.

Far Cry 6 not only takes its location to the next, country-wide level, but also attempts to perfectly mould a distinct visual and cultural identity within its new setting: the Cuba-inspired, fictional country of Yara.

After a brief hands-off showcase of Far Cry 6, in which I saw a healthy glimpse of everything from a Dachshund called Chorizo in a wheelchair, to a disc launcher that fires out CDs playing the Macarena, something less ostentatious caught my eye. The true bold step for the series appears to be the new Far Cry location of Yara, and the attention to detail applied to building Far Cry’s first ever full country-scale open-world.

Check out the first teaser trailer for Paramount Plus’ upcoming sci-fi action film, Infinite. The movie stars Mark Wahlberg as a troubled man who discovers he has been reincarnated multiple times and who then joins the ranks of a secret group of other “Infinites” out to save the world.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Mark Wahlberg, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sophie Cookson, Jason Mantzoukas, Rupert Friend, Liz Carr, with Toby Jones and Dylan O’Brien.

Loosely adapted from D. Eric Maikranz’s fantasy novel The Reincarnationist Papers, Infinite follows Evan McCauley (Mark Wahlberg), a self-medicated man diagnosed as schizophrenic because he’s plagued by memories of places he’s never visited. But just as he’s on the verge of a mental breakdown, Evan is visited by the Infinites, a secret society who informs him that not only are his memories real, but they are from all his past lives. The Infinites take Evan into their fold and help him unlock the answers to his memories. Together, they must stop one of their own, Bathurst (Chiwetel Ejiofor), from his mission to destroy humanity.
