ربما كان فعل غير أخلاقى ولكنه للأسف أصبح موضة رائجة في الغرب من أجل الإنتفاع المادي أحياناً أو الشهرة أحياناً أخرى

فى عام 2004 الفتاة الإنجليزية ( روزى ريد ) التى تبلغ من العمر 18 عام باعت عذريتها فى مزاد علنى من أجل تسديد مصاريف دراستها الجامعية
وقد وصل السعر بالمزاد إلى 12.700دولار وفاز به رجل مطلق فى منتصف العمر وكان على إستعداد لدفع أكثر من هذا المبلغ ليحوز على عزرية ( روزى )

فى عام 2009 الفتاة ( ألينا برشيا ) من رومانيا عرضت عذريتها للبيع فى مزاد علنى لتتمكن من دفع مصاريف دراستها فى مجال الحاسب الألى وأنتهى المزاد بفوز رجل إيطالى فى 45 من عمره بمبلغ 13.300 دولار

وضعت الفتاه ( شاتونيها ) من سيبيريا إعلان تعرض فيه بيع عذريتها
قالت فيه ” ليس لى عادات سيئة وشكلى مقبول ” وتم بيع عذريتها مقابل 28.000 دولار لرجل مجهول
وتقول ( شاتونيها ) أنها إضطرت بفعل ذلك لأنها كانت فى حاجة ماسة إلى المال وإلا لما باعت أغلى شىء تملكه

عام 2012 أعلنت شابة برازيلية تبلغ من العمر 20 عام عن بيع عذريتها في مزاد علني وقد أثار ذلك جدلا واسعا في البرازيل وهجوم كبير عليها من الصحف
ولكن المثير للدهشة هو الشهرة العالمية التى حصلت عليها الفتاة عبر الانترنت والتى وصلت إلى حد تلقيها الكثير من عروض الزواج من ألاف الشباب حول العالم
ونفت ( كاتارينا ) الإتهامات الموجهة لها بتشجيع الاتجار بجسم المرأة وممارسة الدعارة عبر شبكة الإنترنت مستندة في دفاعها عن أنها ستتنازل عن جانب كبير من المبلغ الذي ستتحصل عليه مقابل عذريتها إلى إحدى المنظمات الخيرية التي تعمل في مجال البحث عن مأوى لفقراء ولاية سانتا كاترينا البرازيلية
وحسب ما ذكرتة بعض الصحف فأن ( كاترينا ) قد تلقت عرضاً بالزواج من ثرى عربي مقابل 1.5مليون دولار وذلك مقابل إلغاء المزاد والزواج به وبشرط أن تعتنق السلام وتقول ( كاترينا ) أنه يتحدث 11 لغة ويعيش فى قصر جميل
إلا أنها ألغت المزاد فى النهاية ولم تقبل أى من العروض وتحولت لنجمة معروفه فى برنامج تلفزيون الواقع بعد أن حققت شهرة عالمية

العارضة الأيطالية ( رافيلا فيتشو ) باعت عذريتها عندما كانت فى العشرين من عمرها عام 2008 فى مزاد علنى مقابل 1.8 مليون دولار وقررت ( رافيلا ) شراء منزل جديد فى مدينة روما الإيطالية والإنفاق على دروس التمثيل واليوم هى عارضة أزياء وفتاة أعلانات معروفه
