أثارت إقامة مراسم العزاء في المسجد، رغم كون الفنانة الراحلة مسيحية الديانة جدلا كبيرا، الأمر الذي تباينت معه ردود الأفعال ما بين مؤيد ومعارض، لكن علماء الدين ونقابة الفنانين حسموا ذلك الجدل.
وأكد الفنان سامح الصريطي وكيل نقابة المهن التمثيلية أن النقابة لم تتدخل في اختيار مكان تلقي العزاء للفنانة الراحلة، بل أخطرت عن طريق الأسرة أن العزاء سيقام بدار المناسبات بمسجد
الحامدية الشاذلية، وسيتلقى العزاء ابنها أيمن بدر الدين جمجوم ابن الفنان الراحل بدر الدين جمجوم .
وقال مسؤول بالنقابة إن عائلة زوج الفنانة الراحلة وابنيها أيمن وإيمان مسلمان هم من قرروا أن
يكون العزاء بدار المناسبات بمسجد الحامدية الشاذلية، بينما تم دفن الجثمان في مدافن الأرمن بأرض الجولف بمصر الجديدة، وذلك حسب رغبة ابنها.
من جهته، صرّح الدكتور أحمد كريمة، أستاذ الفقه المقارن بجامعة الأزهر لـ”العربية.نت” أن تلقي العزاء لغير المسلمين في مساجد المسلمين جائز شرعا طالما أن أهل المتوفاة أو المتوفى من
المسلمين، بينما لا يجوز دفنهم في مقابر المسلمين
وأضاف أن أبناء الفنانة الراحلة مسلمون، وتأدية واجب العزاء ستكون لهم وليس لغيرهم، بالتالي
يجوز شرعا أن تقام مراسم العزاء في المسجد بشرط ألا تمارس طقوس المسلمين فيه مثل قراءة القرآن أو الذكر أو الترحم.
ويضيف أن العزاء سيقام في دار المناسبات الخارجية الملحقة بالمسجد، ويمكن بالتالي استقبال القساوسة وقيادات الكنيسة دون حرج .
وكانت الفنانة فيروز قد توفيت صباح السبت، عن عمر يناهز 73 عاماً، بعد أن شهدت حالتها الصحية تدهوراً كبيراً، حيث دخلت العناية المركزة بمستشفى الصفوة في مدينة 6 أكتوبر.
وتزوجت الفنانة الراحلة من الفنان بدر الدين جمجوم، وهو مصري مسلم من أصول فلسطينية، وتحديدا مدينة الخليل وتخرج في معهد العلوم المسرحية عام 1959 في قسم التمثيل ثم كلية الآداب بجامعة القاهرة.
التحق جمجوم بفرقة ساعة لقلبك، ثم فرقة إسماعيل ياسين، وفرقة التلفزيون وتوفي عام 92 عن عمر يناهز57 عاما وله ولدان من الفنانة الراحلة هما أيمن وإيمان.
