The Ferrari 296 GTB is something of a legend in the MotorTrend offices; the quickest rear-wheel-drive production car we have ever tested. The 296GTB is something of a line in the sand for Ferrari – after the V8 celebration that was the F8 Tributo, came this: a mid-engine twin-turbo V6 with an electric motor. The Halo SF90 may have two more cylinders, and three electric motors as opposed to the single one in this, but the 296 has a certain livability that makes It genuinely compelling.
