On September 8, 2010, Marissa Mayer and Ben Gomes hosted a search event at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art to announce Google Instant. Check out this video from our event.
Google Instant is a new search interface and infrastructure enhancement that is fast and predictive, making search easier by showing you relevant search results instantly on the results page as you type. When people use Instant, we estimate they save between two and five seconds when they search. Globally, this adds up to more than 11 hours saved every second.
