Edwards won’t direct Episode 7, 8 or 9. Rather, he’ll be helming one of the planned standalone spin-off movies in the Star Wars universe. Speculation to date is that these films will focus on Boba Fett, Han Solo, and Yoda. But who knows at this point?
Gary Whitta, of Book of Eli and After Earth will write the film.
Which characters in the Star Wars world would you like to see get their own movie? (Correct answer: Wedge Antilles) What do you think of this director choice? Good? Bad? Just happy to hear more Star Wars news? Any other directors you’d like to see invited into the Star Wars family?
