The Super Mario franchise has over 250 installments and continues to add on to that total each year. From main games like Super Mario Bros. 3 to spin-offs like Mario Kart, almost everyone has played a Mario game at some point in their life. In the main games, good guy Mario defeats the evil Bowser to save Princess Peach, the damsel in distress. In the spin-offs, we see all of these characters enjoying each other’s company despite the clear hatred for each other in the main games. It just doesn’t make sense, unless all of the characters are just a troupe of actors capable of playing multiple roles.

Just look at games like Super Mario Bros. 3, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Super Paper Mario. In these games, it seems quite clear that Mario is an actor in a play of some kind. Also, how exactly is Mario capable of saving the Mushroom Kingdom while being a doctor, plumber, carpenter, boxing referee and Olympian? Simple, he’s a actor. How are these sworn enemies able to play mini-games, race karts and play sports together if they hate each other’s guts? Sometimes, they’re even on the same team! If they were really at odds with each other, they would never agree to spend time together so they must be actors. Even the legend himself, Shigeru Miyamoto, had something to say about this theory and what he said will truly shock you!

Before discs came along, all our video games were played through cartridges. Over time, these cartridges became too costly to produce and simply weren’t able to hold as much content as an optical disc. The transition was as natural as could be for Sony and Microsoft whose first consoles used discs, but it was not the case for Nintendo. The Nintendo 64 lost out on a gaming classic because it refused to use discs and stuck with cartridges, but we’ll get into that later in the video. Optical discs don’t seem too complex, but there are a bunch of lesser known facts about these optical media devices.

Nintendo used some interesting hexspeak to notify gamers of a regular boot on Nintendo GameCube and Wii consoles. Some demos took up more disc space than the actual finished version of the game and Crash Bash was the most interesting of the bunch. EA Sports found a way to sneak a South Park video into a harmless golf game. A quick tip can help you save some money and keep your discs free of scratches in the process. Blu-ray discs have more storage than regular optical discs because they’re blue. Plain and simple. Most importantly, we’ll teach you about the difference between the words disc and disk. The PlayStation Portable, better known as the PSP, launched in 2005 and was Sony’s first earnest attempt at a handheld system. Not only that, but it was the first direct competitor to Nintendo in the handheld gaming department. When it hit the shelves, the PSP was the most powerful handheld gaming system on the market at the time.

The PSP would see a productive lifespan, going through several models and selling 80 million units in its lifetime. However, Sony closed down the PSP’s access to the PlayStation Network in 2016 and games were discontinued two years earlier in 2014. While the Nintendo 3DS dominates the handheld market today, the PSP still lives on in the PS Vita…kind of. Still, despite the PSP being discontinued, there’s still a small faction of dedicated Sony fans who use the PSP and, even more, there are secrets and features that were unheard of during the PSP’s run time. Before the PSP, gamers and tech enthusiast alike had to carry multiple devices for their phone and MP3 player, but now, the PSP offered a solution by being an all-in-one media device.

Video game glitches can be frustrating in a number of different ways. Games can freeze, objects cannot be reached and characters may look strange. Then, there are the glitches players take advantage of. By using these glitches, we can get through levels easier and have more fun playing a variety of games. See how these glitches have developed over the years and ways they became a part of future games.

In the Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Game Boy players got to use Link’s bow in a whole different way that involved bombs and crazy explosions. Collecting Pokemon could take a lot of time, but players using Pokemon Gold and Silver figured out a way to clone their Pokemon and all the items that came with it. Team Fortress introduced a character known as the Spy, but the accidental creation led to all new ways to play by the time the sequel was released. In Minecraft, one of the signature characters to play with is the Creeper, but the design was actually formed from a glitch. Mario Kart 64 introduced multiple glitches on their tracks so players could get through courses a lot faster. Grand Theft Auto was originally supposed to be a top-down racing game, but a berserk glitch changed the way the WHOLE franchise developed. The unique fighting style in Devil May Cry made the game an instant hit, but it was almost abandoned as a bad glitch. One of the biggest highlights in Street Fighter II was the ability to use combo moves and the glitch to create them changed fighting games forever. Hi-diddly-I everybody!
We recently published a video about Simpsons theories on this channel that got a lot of you guys talking.
One of the more interesting theories suggested that the entire Simpson family are actually geniuses.
When you first hear that, it might seem like a crazy statement, but we’re here to convince you that it might actually be true by delving into it in a little more detail!
So, are the whole Simpsons family really geniuses? We believe so – and the theory goes for Lisa (obviously), Homer, Bart, Maggie, Grampa, and even Marge and Mona (who aren’t Simpsons by blood).
You only have to look at Homer’s many accomplishments throughout his life – the guy has done more in his forty-ish years than ten guys twice his age. And look at Bart – the kid has achieved so much and has proven himself to be adept in many fields. Maggie is only a baby, but she’s done things that no baby should ever be able to do. And Abe – in his younger years in particular – was good at a lot of things.
As for Marge, she was a very promising student, but opts for the happy housewife life out of choice. While Mona MUST be intelligent to have avoided the law for almost her entire life.
