The Game Boy Advance was great for playing a whole slew of Pokemon games like Ruby and Emerald, but the handheld console could do a lot more than just provide advanced gaming. Learn some of the crazy ways the original console and the upgraded SP console were used over the years and how it could still be used today.

The backlit screen and advanced graphics made the GBA an ideal console for watching television and a tuned TV could be connected directly to the device. On old Game Boys, multiplayer action required a long cable, but now, players could connect wirelessly thanks to a special Game Boy Advance adapter. GBA accessory packs allowed you to completely transform your device with magnified screens, special joysticks and all types of themes. Multiple companies discovered ways to transform the Game Boy Advance into a working GPS device although the releases never went fully mainstream. Watching content on the GBA became easier thanks to a special adapter which allowed you to play both movies and audio files. Really take in the sounds of your favorite games with the use of add-on speakers that would make it look like a small surround sound system for your handheld console. One of the more unique releases for the GameBoy Advance was the E-Reader. A card reading system used to unlock extras and gain full access to games. Some medical devices with working screens on them actually relied on the Game Boy Advance hardware to get running and help save lives. We’ve all seen at least one action or fight sequence in our lives, they have been within popular tv shows, cartoons, movies and, of course, anime as well. However, although there are different levels of censorship depending on which network or region you decide to watch a particular series on, there’s bound to be something that’s still quite graphic. There are hundreds of anime series’ with intense, dramatic battle sequences, but also creativity. Creativity how? Well, think about how many ways the human body can be destroyed, multiply it by an infinite amount of possibilities and you’ll more than likely get the amount that’s within anime in general.

Whether it be the teen focused Dragon Ball Z or Bleach, there were some kid friendly moments, but there were also scenes full of blood and guts spilling out everywhere. However, as tame as those series’ might seem, they’re nothing compared to series’ like Attack on Titan and Tokyo Ghoul, which have numerous scenes consisting of ghouls and titans alike consuming, tearing, stomping and chomping on human flesh. Bone cracking, head stomping and limb tearing is just another day at the office for series’ like Elfen Lied and Afro Samurai as well.

Whether or not you’ve seen these anime series’ before, there is bound to be some squeamish moments. Blood C is also quite creative as paranormal creatures treat human beings like a buffet and prepare them for consumption in several ways that may make you feel uneasy. Still, all of these series’ have one thing in common: epic fight sequences.

Rumors are constantly swirling about the video game world as fans look to find out information about the next big console release. For Sony, naturally, the next console will be the PS5, but what about the handheld market? Thanks to patient filings and other leaked information, we’ve got some more news about the PS5 and the future of Sony’s handheld games.

With disappointing sales and numbers, the PS Vita has been pretty much killed off, so don’t expect to see a revamped version of the console. Sony may however try to compete with the Switch by releasing a handheld hybrid of their next console so players can enjoy games on the go. Concept art has showcased highly detailed screens, controls and other functions to showcase how the device would work. Sony would also stay dedicated to the world of VR gaming as they look to improve the function and deliver some of the most realistic VR content on the market. As the PS5 gets released, so will a number of mobile tie-in games to offer true portability. A mobile company developed by Sony has already released a number of games in Japan and will expand into the United States soon. Some of your favorite PS4 games could be making their way to the PS5 as great launch games. The release date of the PS5 is closer than you think and the console may be cheaper as well. Watch to see all these rumors about future Sony consoles, including both handheld and home console options.
