Peter Parker sure has a lot of pressure on his shoulders! Not only is the hero’s new film Far From Home following the epic that was Avengers: Endgame, but the movie is the final release of Phase 3. This means there’s a lot of expectations to not only set up another Spider-Man movie, but give us a glimpse of what’s in store for Phase 4 of the MCU.

The movie has a ton of potential to build up the multi-verse, new movies, and focus on the future of Spider-Man as well. So let’s dive in and se exactly how phase 4 will get set up in Spider-Man: Far from Home! One of Spidey’s biggest challenges in Far from Home will be taking on the Elementals — a group of interdimensional beings who use specific forces such as wind, fire, earth, and water. Naturally, Hydro-Man is all about the water and the powerful force could end up doing much more than rocking Parker’s world. Disruptions in the water may lead to another hint of a hero appearing in the MCU, specifically Namor the Submariner. While the X-Men may not appear in the movie, there’s chances another group could. One of the coveted post-credits scenes in Far From Home may showcase the arrival of the Sinister Six. The evil group is like the anti-Avengers and could serve as the ultimate enemy of Peter Parker in the future. We all know Sony has been desperate to do a Sinister Six story on film for years. Rumors spread during Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, the movie was nearly in production after the Amazing Spider-Man 2, and now seems like the perfect time to bring the evil group back. Did you ever watch a movie as a kid and have your parent laugh at something that you didn’t get? We’ve certainly been there. It was often the case that when someone older would laugh, you would decide to laugh along rather than pausing the movie midway to figure out what the joke meant. As we get older and watch movies, we have started to notice more and more adult content is peppered throughout popular films. Take Shrek for example. That was a classic case of a kids movies that appealed greatly to adults as well. Movie producers understood that often guardians accompany children to movies, so if they like it as well and are laughing at more adult jokes, then they are more likely to buy a ticket to the sequel. Clever! Whether it’s an old movie reference or an innuendo, adults love having specific content tailor made to get them chuckling. Marvel movies are no exception. Today we will be looking at 25 things only adults notice in Marvel movies and will be covering everything from dirty jokes to deeper meanings and metaphors behind films. We’ll explain how Black Panther tackles bigger issues such as race relations in North America and while a child may just see T’Challa being the all powerful head of the nation Wakanda, an adult see’s a character that is free of Western colonization. We’ll also be covering all sorts of adult jokes such as the moment in Avengers: Age of Ultron when Tony Stark chimes saying “Clint, you’ve had a tough week. Finally, after showing us nearly every other major villain from Spider-Man’s rogues gallery – we’re seeing the friendly neighborhood web-slinger face off against Mysterio. Spider-Man: Far From Home will give us all the spectacle we ever wished to see in a showdown between the wallcrawler and the fishbowl-headed master of illusion. The only thing is, will Mysterio, AKA Quentin Beck, be played as a villain or a hero? As the trailer and pre-show buzz leads us to believe, it seems as though Mysterio, as played by Jake Gyllenhaal will be presented to us as a hero. But as with most storylines in the MCU, the situation is not exactly as it seems. We’ll likely see a heel turn from Mysterio before the story is all said and done. While he probably won’t have the same kind of personal connection with Peter Parker as the Vulture from Spider-Man: Homecoming, it appears that the Marvel team is introducing Mysterio as an ally so that his eventual reveal as a villain will hurt our hero all the more.

But since nothing is exactly what it seems where Mysterio is concerned, it’s highly likely that he’s also lying about the multi-verse. Sure, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we, the audience, have been shown some crazy storylines and plot twists – especially since aliens first attacked New York in 2012’s Avengers. Yet, we here at ScreenRant know that we probably shouldn’t take Mysterio at his word. So join us as we give you proof that Mysterio is lying about the multi-verse in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
