We Think They Finally Fixed Sonic

Remember a little while back when we got the first trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog film? Remember how nightmare inducingly bad the original design of CG Sonic was?
Well, the nightmare is over, as we just got a second trailer, featuring the new look for everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog. And it indeed looks much, much better.
Just in the leg department alone. Yeesh. That was rough.
And the overall tone of the trailer is a lot better. Not sure what we mean by that? Well kick back, grab a chili dog, and let’s break it down and take a look at how much better of a taste this trailer left us with.

This Star Wars Show Started Out Strong

The Star Wars franchise is finally tipping its toes into live action TV and, for those of you who were worried, there’s no need! The new show is not only good, but also full of the secrets, easter eggs and callbacks that we’ve come to expect. This is our guide to the top ten.
First, and foremost: Boba Fett. There’s been endless speculation about whether or not Star Wars’ most famous bounty hunter will make an appearance in The Mandalorian. And, finally, we have the answer. Sort of. When the main Mandalorian makes his way down to the blacksmith after receiving some precious metal from everyone’s favourite German, there’s someone lurking in the shadows. That someone looks an awful lot like Boba Fett. From the colours of his clothes to the dent on his helmet, this really could be him.
This wouldn’t be a high-budget spinoff in 2019 if there weren’t some cameos. We’ve got Taiki Waititi as a ruthless yet bumbling T-11 droid. SNL veteran Horatio Sanz plays a blue bounty for the title character and Brian Pohsen, of The Big Bang Theory, chauffeurs the Mandalorian and his charge across an icy wasteland. It’s maybe too big of a role to call it a cameo, but it’s hard to look past Herzog the icon of film and see a character described only as the Client.
As for the rest of what you missed. There are countless droids, alien races and outer-space animals that we will break down in depth.

With movies transitioning from stand alone experiences and further and further into decades long franchises, interwoven at every turn, it’s going to become more and more likely that even the most unexpected characters might have connections to one another.
We think we have found one of these connections, and hold on to your clown masks and half-finished novels, because this is a big one.
With almost no irrefutable evidence and a ton of wild speculation, we have come to believe that The Terminator’s John Connor is the son of The Joker!
To understand what we mean, we have to go back. In the 80’s Sarah Connor ends up in an asylum and separated from her son, John. We are led to believe that Kyle Reese is John’s dad, but what if someone else was there in that same asylum along with her? Someone named Arthur Fleck, for instance? There are a ton of reasons why this might just make the most sense that anything has ever made, and you’ll have to check out the video to get all the juicy evidence.
But wait, there’s more!
In Joker, we learned that the woman Arthur Fleck thought was his biological mother isn’t actually, and that he was adopted from an orphanage. So who might his real parents be? What if, and stay with us here, after spending a traumatizing winter at the Overlook Hotel, Wendy didn’t have it in her to raise something of a distrubed child and gave him up for adoption? See where we’re going with this? We believe that Jack Nicholson from The Shining is Arthur Fleck’s biological father! There is so much more in the video below, so check it out!

Rick And Morty Season 4 Is Back And Fans Are Loving It!

The new Rick and Morty season has been a long time coming and it doesn’t disappoint. Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland have been in their bag, searching through the depths of pop culture to create a dense, absurd and, as always, hilarious new episode. There are a lot of little moments that you might have missed if you weren’t paying attention.
First of all, there’s the AKIRA plot. It’s so out-there and in your face you may have missed the reference to the 1980s movie (and manga). That big gooey mass that Morty turns into? That’s a reference to Tetsuo in AKIRA, whose powers get so out of control that he bubbles up into a giant blob that consumes everyone around him. Luckily, it goes much better for Morty.
There are also scenes in the new episode that are more political than anything that has ever appeared in Rick & Morty. When Rick tries to clone himself back to life in a few different dimensions, he meets a lot of different fascists. Normal ones, shrimp ones and teddy bear ones. Although Rick’s not the nicest guy, he does draw the line somewhere and, in this episode he even has a little political call-out line.
Perhaps our favourite reference of “Edge of Tomorty: Rick Die Rickpeat” is when Rick badmouths Kirkland, the house brand of Costco. When Morty goes Hot Fuzz and takes a bunch of Morty’s weapons to fight a bully, he also takes all of his Meeseek boxes, leaving only the off-brand versions. Out of the box, pops a lazy, cigarette-smoking version of the original who asks: “whaddya want?”
