The Reason Some Movies Take Over 20 Years To Be Made

Once You’re In Development Hell It’s Hard To Get Out
Subscribe for more videos: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

Making movies takes a lot of people and a lot of money. That means that there are often ego-driven battles for creative control over the projects, which often leads to stalemates, arguments, and people leaving the projects altogether. The battle for creative control often shoves movies into what’s called “Development Hell.”

Sometimes it can take YEARS to get movies out of development hell— and sometimes they never do. Today we’ll take a look at some movies that have definitely been through development hell, how they got there, as well as if and how they managed to get out. Sometimes things work out great, like in the case of Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool… Other times, you have a “Gambit” situation on your hands. Do you not remember the Gambit movie? That’s totally normal, because it spent so much time in development hell that it got cancelled!

25 Small Details You Missed In The Terminator Franchise

There Are A Bunch Of Hidden Secrets In The Terminator Movies
Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

Terminator is one of cinema’s most storied blockbuster franchises. Like the cold unfeeling cyborg from which the movies get their names, the Terminator series started out in a seemingly invincible state. It was impervious to bad press. James Cameron’s storytelling; the performances of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Michael Biehn, and others; and the special effects of Industrial Light and Magic were widely lauded for being some of the best in the business of big budget filmmaking. Then, weaknesses were found and the series was slowly but surely worn down. Whether you loved or hated the movies after Terminator 2, the Terminator series became a victim of its own success, with any reviewers and fans commenting that any sequel after T2: Judgment day wasn’t necessarily… well, necessary.

With the release of Terminator: Dark Fate, the franchise finally returns to its roots, reuniting Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new version of the T-800. Dark Fate pays tribute to much of what we loved about those first two movies. But, hey, there’s some good to be found in each installment.

Whether it’s the secret insights into the behind-the-scenes magic, the usage of twins as body doubles, the many robot models, the on set injuries, the alternate endings, the wild ideas from the masterful James Cameron, or even Arnold Schwarzenegger’s inspiration for that stripping scene in Terminator 3 – there’s a lot of details to appreciate. Yeah, we spend most of our time talking about the more celebrated Terminator installments, but there’s something in this video for everyone.

10 Actors Who Hated Their Own Films

These Actors Were Not Impressed With Their Movies
Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

A major component of a movie star’s job is to talk up their latest project. When they show their enthusiasm and enjoyment of their newest movie, that energy should rub off on fans, increasing their excitement and anticipation.

But what happens when a star is less than impressed with the finished product? While some stars may exercise discretion and avoid trashing their movies, others don’t always take the high road.

Stars like Brad Pitt, Nicolas Cage, and James Franco have come out and said that their movies were not so great. Even Oscar winners like Halle Berry and Viola Davis have spoken out against projects in which they’ve appeared.

These stars don’t just talk down about poor projects. Classics like “Star Wars” and “Pretty Woman” have had their stars talk openly about how much they disliked the films.

Here are ten examples of stars who have openly criticized their own films.

Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

The Mandelorian has got to be one of the most exciting shows that has premiered in recent memory. This all new expansion of the Star Wars universe is a thrilling addition to the cannon, and we can already tell it’s going to keep getting better and better! Already episode two gave us a lot of new information, and that ending!

Beware, we are about to cover everything that happened in Episode Two of The Mandalorian, so if you haven’t seen either episode yet, proceed with caution, there are huge spoilers ahead!

SERIOUSLY, WE WILL SPOIL IT FOR YOU!!!

LAST CHANCE TO TURN BACK!!

Alright, here we go. At the end of the first episode, we saw The Mandalorian grappling with the fact that the bounty he was supposed to collect for The Client is a tiny little baby Yoda. While he is supposed to be hardened bounty hunter, we all wondered if this might change his feelings about the whole thing.
Well, when episode two begins, it doesn’t look like it has. We see The Mandalorian on his way to bring the Baby Yoda into the evil arms of The Client. But before he can, it becomes obvious that The Client isn’t the only one out there looking to get their hands on the little guy. After first being attacked by a bunch of space lizards, and then a group of scavengers known as Jawas, Mando and the baby wind up pretty much stranded on this desert planet, and turn to Kuiil for help. And then just about the coolest thing that could possibly happen does, but you’ll have to watch the video to find out!

This Might Be The End Of Robert Downey Jr.’s Career

Iron Man’s End Might Also Be The End Of RDJ’s Career
Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

Hollywood is a tricky thing. Actors and actresses go through phases; at some points they’re riding high and can do no wrong. Other times, it seems like every single project they’re involved in is a dud. There comes a point in everyone’s career when the hot streak comes to an end and they revert back to mere mortals. We’ve seen it time and time again with a slew of different big name stars.

In this video, we’ll dive into this phenomenon. We’ll examine some of the most prominent examples and show the trajectory of these individuals. We’ll also theorize what lays ahead for some of today’s most popular stars, including the infallible Robert Downey Jr. Now that his tenure as Iron Man has come to a conclusion, will that mark the end of his run as an untouchable? Who else makes the list and why?

How Disney+ Ruined The Simpsons

Disney Plus Didn Not Do The Simpsons Justice
Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

While The Simpsons might not be up to the same standard that it used to be, there’s no denying that those early episodes are some of the best. And lucky for us, now every episode is on the new Disney Plus streaming service! But wait a second, it’s not all good news. A ton of fans have complained about how the show has been cropped from its original 4:3 aspect ratio, to the newer, 16:9.
If these numbers mean nothing to you, we can help clarify why this is actually kind of a big deal. Way back in the beginning, TV’s were all pretty much squares. The square ratio is known as 4:3, and was standard for a long time. And then, when movies started playing around with different lenses and sizes, the more common, wider ratio became 16:9. The thing is, when the standard changed to wider, most networks figured they could just crop the old shows into a widescreen format.
But, for shows like The Simpsons, these crops mattered! The show is so full of amazing gags and art filling every corner of their square frame, that when you chop off the top and bottom you lose so much! And that’s exactly what Disney Plus has done to twenty seasons of this legendary show. Hopefully they figure out how to fix it, because when Fox tried to do the same back in 2014, the fans didn’t keep quiet about it! And we doubt they will today.
