President Whitmore of ID4… Right for America?

President Whitmore oversaw the most disastrous time in our nation’s history. Are we ready for a repeat performance? Subscribe: http://goo.gl/9AGRm

A President’s Day Movie Parody: In President Whitmore’s first term, our nation’s infrastructure crumbled. Our nation was invaded by a foreign power, and the White House burned, for the first time since the War of 1812. Can we risk another four years under this trigger happy fighter pilot? Can we REALLY trust him to fight for our Independence?

Who will you be supporting in the next election? Do you think President Whitmore represents YOU, the ordinary American? What do you think of the fact he let his daughter hang out with an exotic dancer? What would you like to see us parody in future installments of CineFix Originals? Let us know in the comments below!

CineFix Originals come at you every Wednesday (but in honor of President’s week, we’ve got a few extras!) bringing you original takes on your favorite movies and movie-related phenomena. Tune in Thursday to see what movie president is up for re-election next!

Inception – 8 Bit Cinema

CineFix presents Inception retold via old-school 8-bit – and a little 16 bit 😉 – game tech. No quarters or controllers required! Subscribe to CineFix – http://goo.gl/9AGRm

8-bit Cinema “gamifies” your favorite Hollywood Blockbusters into 80’s arcade and NES inspired action!

Today we present INCEPTION in the form of an 8 bit video game! Order Inception on Blu-ray and DVD: http://www.warnerbros.com/movies/home-entertainment/inception/43fa9f3c-54cb-4b0a-9571-313859716823.html

8 Bit a.k.a. the third generation of gaming started in 1983 with the Japanese release of the Nintendo Family Computer and Sega. Can you guess what games inspired our 8-bit version of Inception? Comment below and suggest the next movie 8-bit Cinema should “gamify”.

Watch more 8-bit Cinema here: http://goo.gl/kOxFJ

Comment below and tell us what film, movie, or TV show you would like to see gamified.

10 Biggest Best Picture Oscar Snubs

Fans get indignant when their favorite movies are passed over at awards season. These Best Picture Oscar burns were big enough to be felt through the ages. Subscribe: http://goo.gl/9AGRm

What do you think was the biggest snub of recent (or not-so-recent) memory? Do you think we missed anything? Do you agree or disagree with our picks? Let us know in the comments below!

THE LIST

Cool hand Luke (1967) Was admittedly up against a tough field, but it’s a movie that’s stood the test of time, and absolutely deserved a nomination.

The Dark Knight (2008) Didn’t score a nomination in the very last year there were only 5 Best Picture nominations, and the Academy apparently wasn’t risking giving a nod to a genre film.

Singin’ in the Rain (1952) Hands down one of the greatest movie musicals ever, this absolute timeless classic didn’t even get nominated, while the winner – “The Greatest Show on Earth” – is probably on no one’s “Best movie ever” list.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) Maybe its art house indie vibe turned off Academy voters, but ten years later, audiences everywhere still appreciate “Eternal Sunshine”

King Kong (1933) It was the early days of the Academy, but King Kong’s impact has endured to this day.

And then a trio of overlooked Hitchcock films:

North By Northwest (1956), Psycho (1957) Vertigo (1958) What have you got against Hitchcock, Academy?!

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968): One of the most groundbreaking works of direction, visual storytelling, and all-around spectacle wasn’t even nominated in the Best Picture category. (Though Stanley Kubrick was nominated for Best Director and Screenplay, and won Visual Effects)

Do The Right Thing (1989) One of Spike Lee’s first great films isn’t even nominated in the year Driving Miss Daisy won.

No president in history has taken a more active role in the War on Terror! Vote to re-elect President Marshall! Subscribe: http://goo.gl/9AGRm

A President’s Day Movie Parody: President Marshall takes a no-nonsense approach to all the tough issues facing our nation. The Economy? Obesity? He’ll break their necks with parachute strings, and tell them to “GET OFF MY PLANE!” That’s a dedication no other candidate can match!

Will you be voting for President Marshall this November? What do you think of his stance on the toughest issues? Would you dare to go near his plane? What would you like to see us parody in future installments of CineFix Originals

CineFix Originals come at you every Wednesday (but in honor of President’s week, we’re bringing you a few extras!) bringing you original takes on your favorite movies and movie-related phenomena.
