The movie is slated for release after Prometheus 2, which will be directed by OG Alien helmer Ridley Scott (who will also produce Blomkamp’s Aliens movie). Questions now abound: Where will this new film fall in the Aliens timeline? Will it contradict Alien 3 or Alien: Resurrection? Or will it follow the Prometheus movies?

The movie wouldn’t be what it is if Gozer’s final form weren’t a puffy sugary sailor man, but the journey from concept to the sticky final product was a long one. Almost everyone involved had doubts about audiences buying into a killer marshmallow monster.
