Fumerie Turque is much more than a Tobacco based scent. Sheldrake shows how he can be the master of the most complex scents with this release. IMO this is one of the best of the brand.

Here’s the newest addition in the warm weather section of the Ideal line. This practically replaced the famed Cologne Edition and with that gets lots of hate. The mint in here the primary note in the opening (hence the cool in the name). It gives a cooling factor but I’ve smelt a better minty opening.

Dunhill released a higher tier line and as beautiful the bottles are (Dunhill Icon bottles) and as nice the note breakdowns are, I still have my doubts. Dunhill has a hard time releasing excellent designer mainstream scents, not sure if they pull off the prestige designer line. At the end of the day I think I’ll be getting a bunch of good designer scents from the line that are overpriced.

This new generation of top sellers aren’t my style. This is exactly what’s wrong with the fragrance industry. K disappoints in many levels but that cap is probably the worst thing ever and how that actually got approved by the ones signing the checks is beyond me.

Min NY is a small shop in NY that carries niche brands. I remember fondly my trip to NY and going to Min to meet Andy Tauer the nose behind the Tauer brand and the NY fragrance community. Dunhill Desire Gold has an excellent introduction (not a unique one) and it really was uplifting. Sadly the performance and drydown are a let down during this early testing. We will see if I get more in the summer months.
