Honda Civic Type R racer Gordon Shedden claimed a last-gasp victory at the Norfolk circuit, while Colin Turkington (Subaru) and Mat Jackson (Ford) also scooped victories

However, consistent finishing from BMW’s Rob Collard means he now leads the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship by three points from team-mate Sam Tordoff, with Honda’s Matt Neal a further three points back.

Aston Martin DB11 Review | First Drive | Autocar

The Aston Martin DB11 has some pretty big shoes to fill. Its predecessor, the DB9, bowed out as a much loved British grand tourer that had been the base and inspiration for a whole host of Aston Martin models. Subscribe to Autocar now: http://smarturl.it/autocar

Then there’s the DB11’s new V12 engine: it’s turbocharged. As demonstrated by the Porsche 718 Cayman and Boxster, turbocharging can improve a car while also taking away some character. Will this boosted 12-cylinder unit feel like an Aston Martin engine?

Aston Martin Vulcan driven l Flat out in the incredible £1.8m, 820bhp hypercar at Silverstone

Subscribe now to Autocar on YouTube: http://smarturl.it/autocar

The Aston Martin Vulcan is one of the most exclusive cars ever built. Just 24 of the £1.8m Vulcans are being made – and even if you can afford to buy one, it’s so hard to drive that Aston is offering owners one-on-one tuition from its stable of racing drivers.

So when Matt Prior got the call up for the final drive of the car by anyone other than an owner or Aston employee, he jumped at the chance to strap into the bespoke carbonfibre cockpit at Silverstone.

Powered by a 7.0-litre V12 engine producing 820bhp – the most powerful normally aspirated car in production – and built to racing car standards, the Vulcan certainly lived up to the hype. Matt’s verdict? “The Aston Vulcan is as fast as a McLaren P1 but even more immersive.” High praise indeed. Press play to enjoy the full experience.

Promoted: Why the Nissan Qashqai is a What Car? Award winner

The Nissan Qashqai is a genuine game-changer, helping spark the surge in popularity of small SUVs – and it continues to be one of the very best cars in its class.

Autocar’s sister brand What Car? awarded the Qashqai a maximum five-star score when it reviewed the machine – and has named it the best small SUV for the past three years in its awards.

So what makes the Qashqai so deserving of that string of honours? There are plenty of reasons, and to highlight them Nissan asked What Car? to make a video explaining how they reached their conclusions – and funded its creation.

Tesla Model S P85D vs McLaren 650S | Drag Race | Autocar

The Tesla Model S P85d is a seriously fast car. It has two electric motors, one for each axle, which between them produce some 682bhp.
Subscribe now to Autocar on YouTube: http://smarturl.it/autocar

And, electric motors being electric motors, it makes its peak torque at zero revs per minute. So it accelerates like … well … like a supercar.

Or does it? We put a supercar alongside it, to find out. McLaren’s 650S Spider has a ‘mere’ 641bhp, and is only rear-wheel drive. But it is lighter than the Tesla, and has launch control. So this could be a rather close call.
