Blazing Saddles is Mel Brooks at his best. While we love The Producers, Spaceballs, History of the World: Part I, and of course, Young Frankenstein, it’s in Blazing Saddles, that Brooks goes truly no-holds barred with his irreverent comedy. While the movie is most definitely R-Rated, the humor appeals to the 8-year-old-boy in all of us. That is, when it’s not making us seriously question our deeply held world views.
