“I want an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle!” And trust us, YOU want to make sure you watch (or marathon re-watch) “A Christmas Story” before you die. Subscribe – http://goo.gl/9AGRm
“A Christmas Story” combines all the elements of a great Christmas movie. You’ve got mid-century nostalgia. A kid’s-eye view of the world. There’s hope, and imagination, and just a hint of magic. And if all that sounds maudlin and gag-worthy, don’t worry. “A Christmas Story” is also, smart, self aware, and just cynical and sarcastic enough that even Scrooge-y grown-ups will get a kick out of it.
We’ll be honest, it was tough picking the one Christmas movie to recommend for today’s What to Watch Before You Die. We still love Scrooged, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Die Hard, The Santa Clause, Miracle on 34th Street, Home Alone – but A Christmas Story has some of the best elements of all of these. And then some!
