How do you get the best animal selfies? Since 2011, National Geographic grantee and photographer Craig Packer has been doing just that. To get these one-of-a-kind images, a team led by Packer installs camera traps all around the Serengeti that automatically take photos when animals wander close enough to trigger them. Once installed, the camera traps can run for days or weeks without human intervention.
